He arrived precisely on time to give us an estimate. He indicated that this time of year he was working outside but he would fit us in the first rainy day. Once he starts a job he finishes it.
Our living room ceiling and one wall were soot covered from a fireplace incident. He indicated that would need extra coats of paint. Our house is relatively new construction and we never primed the ceiling. Bruce said he would do that. He told us he uses Sherwin Williams paint, but we could go to any paint dealer and pick out a color. He has a computer application that will translate it to the Sherwin Williams color. He gave us an estimate of $549. We thought that was a reasonable price considering the size of the rooms.
He told us what we should move out of the room and what he would move and cover.
The week after it was raining all week. He called on a Monday and indicated he could come the next day. He showed up exactly on time. He had drop cloths and covers for all the furniture. He applied a primer coat to the ceiling and left to purchase the wall paint. He returned that afternoon and put a second coat on the ceilings, painted the entry way walls and gave the living room walls one coat over the fireplace.
The next day he painted the celing again all the walls and the woodwork. He didn't like the way the kitchen ceiling looked (we had replaced a light fixture) so he replastered it and repainted it. He was finished by 2:00 pm.
The paint job is wonderful. You can tell it is a professional job. The woodwork looks white and flawless as if it is a baked on finish. The walls are all smooth and covered.
He then told us the price was $525.
