Tracy Watkins Mowing

......until this year when she came over and did some cleanup , and made an appointment for the first mow of the year which would have been a little over a month ago .....I am writing this on May 28th 2013.   Now please keep in mind that this chick had worked for me for two years with NEVER A HARSH WORD. She did good work , I appreciated it and paid her , and we got along very well indeed . I am a retired cook and so I frequently sent her off with a cake or a pie for her kids , and when she took her breaks I listened sympathetically to her stories of going through her divorce . Then , weeks after she had been here for a little Sandy cleanup , on THE DAY she was supposed to come mow my 1.30 acres , yep , huge yard ; she texted me using one of those phrases we have in the English language which are technically neutral but that in fact are never ever used except with hostility , as follows : It would be in your best interests to find someone else for your lawn....and I quote .  No explanation, no I'm sorry , just ....that .   And let's keep in mind that she knew that someone with Severe Chronic Lyme Disease and on a limited budget was at a serious disadvantage already compared to , say, someone HEALTHY or able to WORK .  On the VERY DAY she was supposed to show UP she sent me this .   It is not a mere lack of consideration operating here , it is actively unfriendly.   I could have had a few weeks to find someone else , not an easy search ;  IF she had had the courtesy to give me some warning , but no .  As a result of which I have had a dozen or so lawnmowing folks turn me down because they did not want to mow grass that LONG and when I finally found someone I had to agree to a price that was WELL over twice what I used to pay Tracy , all due to the fact that by that point the grass was at minimum ten times longer than it usually is when regularly mowed !!  I have no idea why Tracy pulled this garbage on someone who never did anything wrong to her , on the contrary, and I don't care to speculate; I have enough problems of my own without worrying about someone else's crazy......but I DO want to at least try to protect my neighbors against having the same thing done to THEM .
