The marble counter tops look good. Although it was a bit odd that they were unable to remove certain stains with a sander. For now the seal is holding, it's only been a week. The tile bathroom floor was at first messy. There were left overs of the polishing agent all around the floor. I mentioned this to the owner, Merone, who proceeded to tell me this is expected. I showed him how the tiles look messy and he had his guy wipe down the polish with a towel. The house was a dusty mess with my newly sealed counter tops covered in dust. The upstairs bathroom marble kitchen sink looks good for now. However, I did notice certain spots were not finished and the sink is covered with polishing residue. I would probably give the job an overall rating of a B or C if it were not for 2nd floor bathroom regrout work. The grout is literally powdering away. Swiping your finger on the grout turns it black. Merone explained that this is typical of black grout. "If it were white grout, it would be white. This is black grout. It needs to set." Thanks Merone. I'm pretty sure it should set within 24 hours. This was 2 days later. He was either dishonest or incompetent with his explanation. Any grouter will tell you that a brittle or powdery grout is the result of a poor grout mix. Merone proceeded to wipe down the stone promising it would settle in the afternoon. It didn't. My pregnant wife of 9 months was stressed out as she put her trust in this company and felt betrayed. When she called him to ask if he would come back if the floor was still a problem, he said "I don't do business like that." Nice one Merone. After 3 days of the grout still being powdery, I proceeded to stop payment on one of the checks. He called my wife and said he wanted to come back and look at the floor (probably because he wanted payment). After not showing up at the time specified, without a phone call or text, my wife cancelled his services altogether. At best Merone is decent at Marble and not much else.
Description of Work: I needed to sand and seal marble counter tops, floors in the kitchen and a bathroom. I also requested regrouting a bathroom.
