Asphalt Driveway Service, Stone and Gravel Service
$10,700
It was absolute nightmare. They did not do what they were supposed to do. They were supposed to do oil and stone and they only put gravel. We went to small claims court. We won the case. They never showed up. They never answered it. We never got a dime from them then we had to hire a marshal. We had to pay extra money to get a marshal. The marshal checked. They had pulled the money. We had been in litigation. We had been trying to secure the money for a couple of years. We lost ten thousand seven hundred dollars down the drain. We contacted them and they just kept prolonging it. The price was probably medium. The quality was terrible. For responsiveness, they came right away. When we wanted the price, they gave it right away but once they did it, basically, you cannot contact them anymore. I had to write several letters. It cost us more money in the end to bring them to court but we never get a dime from them or a response.

Asphalt Driveway Service
$5,000
(03/12/2010) The driveway was completed in two days and we were told not to drive on it for several days which we observed religiously. After a week we began to use the driveway. The surface had a thin layer of gravel on top of the now cured oil and gravel surface underneath. However, the wheels of delivery trucks and even our own cars would disturb the under surface. in the summer sun and heat the surface was pliable. It was not until late fall 2009 after heavy rainstorms that the dirt surface underneath the oil had separated from the gravel surface. I noticed in December of 2009 a spongy feeling as if the oil and gravel had de-laminated from the dirt underneath. Clearly the oil and stone did not adhere to the dirt of the original driveway sub service. Now in March of 2010 after several calls to the company with no response I have an irregular surface and many broken up areas where the oil and stone has failed. There are tracks and worn areas from tires with puddling broken pieces. The driveway has to be repaired UPDATE (06/08/2010) My experience with this company since the installation has been absolutely the worst of all contractors that I have used on my home. They are not interested in customer service or fixing their work. They make false appointments and then never show up. They want your money and then you cannot get them to come out after you have paid them for service. Customer service is very poor. Do not use this company under any circumstances.)
Response from Fairfield County Oil And Stone LLC
"I can assure any potential customers that we use only the finest materials and updated equipment. The owner has personally walked every sq. ft. of the drive and was hard pressed to find anything wrong with this driveway. This driveway looks as good as it did the first day it was done! There was one very small area after a very tough winter of use and plowing would need five minutes of attention to repair - base was solid as a rock. Nevertheless, our company will do whatever it takes to make the member happy with in a reasonable time. - Tyler Keiser, Manager"
