Description of Work: Ray Decker and his two employees did an excellent job installing my wood stove fireplace insert. I had concerns that the insert would be difficult to install because the fireplace was originally constructed with a steel heatolator system with fans. I talked to Ray and expected he would have to come out to the house to inspect it and give an estimate. However, when I described it on the phone, Ray knew exactly what I was talking about and was able to give me a quote (which did not increase afterwards) for the job. Ray was the only person I found who was willing to install a wood stove that was bought from another company. Many fireplace companies will only install a product that they sell. That way they make a profit on the unit as well as the installation. Ray's price, even with the extra charge for cutting out the heatolator ($200) as well as the charge for picking up the >500 lb unit ($95), was still $110 less than a competing fireplace company who would not install any units they did not sell themselves. Therefore, I was able to find a unit at the best deal and get the installation at a better deal as well. In all, it saved me about $500. Ray also did not charge me extra for the pick up even though it was really out of his way and was complicated by the fact that the parking lot was being paved, preventing the truck from getting to the loading dock.
