This was a total re-make of both hot water and heating sysytems from oil to natural gas. New gas line had to be installed from the street to my home, along with various tests and inspections and permits and other beaureaucratic mumbo-jumbo that took more time than the equipment installation. The old system was removed in it's entirety: furnace and oil tank and piping. New electrical line was installed as well as new thermostat wiring.The installation was done in a day and a half over a period of one week, due to tests and inspections. The mechanic(s) that performed the work, did so very neatly and efficiently. Clean-up was minimumal.

Our 19 tear old water heater(installed by the same people) finally bit the dust, leaking water all over the basement. Within one day, we had service. He replaced the water heater with a new one, and had to do a bit of retro-fitting to get everything together- probably due to the age of the house. He had to pump out the remaining water in the old heater, but once that was done, the whole job went easily. He definitely knew what he was doing.  We now have a working water heater. Hooray!
