One lesson I have learned is to insist on a complete set of installation, programming, and user manuals that the installers have for each system. After Rollins went out of business, I cannot tell you how many times those manuals saved my old system from being unrepairable. I also insist that the installers do not use any "tricks" or "trap doors" to prevent others from servicing the system. Michael readily agreed with these terms. I can tell you that most companies I talked to would not.
The system is working great now, and I am confident that Michael and his crew will look after this system for years to come. The system he offers includes components readily available on the internet. If they go the way of Rollins some day, I am confident I can hire others to work on this system.
