DO NOT HIRE TIM BARTLETT RUN don’t walk away from Tim Bartlett. His work is horrible. He has no idea how modern tile is laid. He has never worked with contemporary systems such as Kerdi. He tried to install a shower for us with NO waterproofing. He ruined $2500 worth of tile and never even apologized. When I gently pointed out the obvious errors and horrible workmanship in different tile work he was continuing, he walked off the job. And stole parts I had already paid cash for. A total hack. Untrustworthy. Horrible workmanship. No care or pride. Just interested in making a buck. It took me several weeks to repair the damage he had done to my house. I literally had to tear out all of his work and do it myself. I am builder and have done many high end bathroom remodels. I have NEVER seen workmanship this bad. AVOID.

Overpromised and underdelivered. I did not do my research as I was in a rush situation and he was able to start right away (warning sign I ignored) He had said that it would take no more than 4 days and would work on a Saturday to finish by Tuesday. When I showed up on the first day (Thursday) to give him a deposit, and about to write a personal check, he insisted on cash. At that point I was regretting my decision. He finished the job on the 7th day after he started. I paid with bank checks as I wanted to have a record of some sort for these payments as I just didn't trust him. In the end, he did an OK job, I've seen better but I just wanted to be done with him. Beware.

Job took longer than was stated. Day one & two went well but after that, work efficiency and communication went downhill. Started hearing about personal problems, staffing problems and complaint about being paid by check. Questioned where my bank was. Everytime I happened to see him, he was on his phone. As job went on, we felt more unsure as to when completion would be. Bob started working at home to monitor progress. Ended up with a broken unrepairable water lever on the refrigerator, had to reinstall trimwork in the kitchen & foyer ourselves, and a badly cut "curved"tile piece. We are pleased with the finished tile floor but felt relieved when he left. NICE GUY WHO DOES A QUALITY JOB BUT OBVIOUS PROBLEMS GETTING RELIABLE HELP AND RUNNING HIS BUSINESS EFFICIENTLY.
