Description of Work: I'm not sure why it states no reports were submitted for this contractor. See mine below. It still stands. We have not fully recovered to this day from Mr. St. Martin's lack of professionalism and lack of interest in the project.

 + -1 moreMr. St. Martin had one hardluck story after another as to why he couldn't be here at all on many days, or he would show up before we left for work in the a.m., only to leave a few hours later--thinking that we wouldn't notice. He left our roof open and vulnerable so that we sustained water damage. Much of his work was crooked, so that trim work--still ongoing from another contractor we had to pay--is extra challenging. He botched window installation. He put soffits in our kitchen of different heights and made them too long so that trim had to be cut around them. He omitted some insulation. He and his helper continuously left trash and cigarette butts all over our property. They helped themselves to our personal tools--causing damage or disappearance. He was doing numerous jobs at the same time, and did not care that he left our home in a state deserving of a CONDEMNED desigation, all the while lying to us. This led to a rodent problem by the time we finally fired him.
Description of Work: Framed an addition to our home, and made changes to the existing footprint. Gutted our kitchen, added a sunroom and bedroom, installed insulation, installed windows, installed new roof. Work was to have included all trim work, sheetrocking, taping, tiling and painting. Mr. St. Martin did the framing, but got only as far as hanging a few pieces of sheetrock at an agonizingly slow pace, with the taping job being a complete joke. His replacement came in and with the flick of a wrist snapped off the tape weeks after it was done with no effort at all. In the end, we had to hire a sheetrocker, taper, tile man, finish carpenter and painter--all work that St. Martin had committed to do. This put us very far behind and ridiculously over budget. NOTE: cost noted above does not represent the total estimate, but the amount we had paid St. Martin before we fired him.
