1) We put in our request for an estimate and Mike came out soon thereafter leaving the estimate in our mailbox.
2) If you're on well water, they will bring their own water! That's a big benefit, in my opinion.
3) They gave us a 2-hour window (12pm-2pm) between which the cleaner would come and he was at our house right at noon.
4) The price is reasonable and in-line with other pressure washing companies.
5) We asked the cleaner how much it would be to pressure wash the deck and he offered to do it "on the side" charging us less than if we called Trans-Clean to schedule it. I wasn't totally comfortable with that proposition, so we passed on it.
Cons:
1) Scheduling the date was such a hassle. Amy, the scheduler, was awful. Didn't follow-up on voicemails and took 5 days to return an email. It should have take one phone call or one email to schedule a date for the pressure washing service, but any calls go straight to voicemail and I actually had to call several times to get her on the phone. She needs to work on her customer service skills.
2) We have white vinyl siding and there were noticeable dirt streaks and some new yellow stains under our front porch lights left behind on the siding which we had to clean ourselves.
3) We weren't there to observe HOW he was washing the siding (i.e. keeping the stream of water pointing down or up), but he most definitely must have been pointing the wand up the wall because water penetrated behind the siding. For weeks, there was a horrible smell of mold which we've never experienced in the years we've lived in this home and the timing of it coincided perfectly with the conclusion of the pressure washing job. He got water behind the vinyl siding and mold started to form. I had considered calling the company to complain, but there's nothing they'd be able to do at that point. We had to remove strips of siding to allow the walls to breathe and over time, the smell subsided.
I would highly recommend, if you have vinyl siding, that you pay close attention to how they're applying the high pressure water stream. Unfortunately, we will not be using them again - between Amy and the mold, it's just not worth the aggravation.
Although windows and doors were closed, water came in under the doors and at some windows. Since I was home I was able to quickly catch this with an old towel. I advise future customers to remove window cushions and to place old towels by windows and doors if they will be out during the cleaning.
