Awful service, everytime they come out to "service" your equipment something breaks. Not joking, for 8 straight visits the next day...the exact next day something major breaks and they charge you to come look at it and then repair it. Do not use them!

Installation was extremely smooth and professionally done. Encon went above and beyond to ensure quality installation in line with my expectations.

The house is large and the system has never worked well and has continued to break down for a variety of reasons. We spent close to $150,000 on the system and have been paying about $5,000 a year to them for maintenance. Whatever we've saved in having an efficient system (our heating bills dropped dramatically) has been completely eaten away by the cost of maintenance. While the people that work there are nice, it has been the biggest headache of this house by far. And, on cold days, we still need to use space heaters (even in the new part of our house)!

A few issues came up, but they compensated us, so overall a positive time.

I was wary at first about solar electricity, having heard some stories about high costs and sleazy contractors. I did a lot of research on the internet (A LOT) to learn about other peoples experiences. When the salesperson showed up, I let him perform an analysis of my solar exposure and explain to me how a grid-tie system would work. He was honest about the limitations, and I trusted him. A few days later he sent an estimate which included the power-producing potential of my location. The state incentives I was using required a monitoring system also, so I knew I would be able to keep track of the power produced and see if it was consistent with the estimate. 8 months later, it is performing according to what they promised.
I had to wait several weeks for an installation - not sure why this was. The company was honest about the delay. When the installation crew showed up, I was impressed. They used all of the proper safety gear on my roof and installed the panels so that they would be centered on the roof - not a simple calculation. I had several detailed questions along the way, inspired by my internet research, and the electrician and installers answered them well showing both knowledge and experience.

The original price $21,650 but with a $7,500 rebate brought the price down to $14,150. The installation went smoothly. The only problems we encountered were due to the town building code being 5 years old from 2005 and the code they installed it by being from 2011. This was not at all the companies fault but they handled it very well in rectifying any changes the town required. They allowed us to choose either U.S. made panels or Chinese made panels. We chose the U.S. made panels which were more expensive but are of better quality and design. I really appreciated having the options to chose which I preferred. The majority of the work was done in 2 days. I would highly recommend them.

Encon is a great company to do business with. They replaced my entire heating system, converting it from oil to propane. Problems were encountered with wrong parts at the time of installation (05/12) and correct parts were delivered that day and installation was completed. I've had to call for minor issues at other times and they are extremely prompt and always professional and VERY clean when they work.

This was the third time they replaced the board. I had had a services contract with them which was worthless and expensive. Their services contract only gives a 10% discount and a supposed better responsiveness. This is not a service contract, but a rip-off.

The sales person was very informative and walked us through the installation process. The workers arrived for installation on date promised and were always prompt. They were trustworthy, thorough, and cleaned up after their work. Although there was an installation issue, they promptly returned and corrected the error - no questions asked.
We would highly recommend them and use them again in the future.

Called them at 7:30am, they were at my place at 8:30am. They didn't have the replacement parts available at the local office so someone went to one of their other offices to get the parts and were back at my house by 2:30pm to complete the repair. Their office was responsive and kept us informed of the situation.

They are good and we've been happy with them. We had an emergency when the power came back after hurricane Sandy. Our furnace was making a terrible grinding noise in the basement and they came out right away to fix it.

They were professionals from start to finish. Everyone from the estimator to the service guys were punctual, really friendly and polite, and did good, careful, efficient work. They even provided me with all the paperwork I needed in order to apply for the rebate.

I was so pleased with their work (and especially how much better it was than my experiences with other air conditioning companies) that I chose them again when it was time to install a split air conditioning system at another property.

They did a fine job but the price of the thermostat was rather high and we had a dispute aover how long they were actually at my house as they went across the street to chat with my neighbor but then charged us for the time. While we did finally resolve the issue, it took a few phone calls to get it sorted. Next time they should have us sign the paperwork before chatting with anyone else as we are paying by the hour.

I am most impressed with their level of service after the installation, as well as the excellent system they installed. They actually do believe in customer satisfaction and work very hard to make sure all is 100%. This is my 2nd heating season an it works like a gem, very responsive and super economical!

I HAVE USED THEM FOR 20+ YEARS AND WILL PROBABLY CONTINUE TO USE THEM FOR 20 MORE YEARS. THEY DO WHAT THEY SAY THEY'RE GOING TO DO, AND THEY GET IT DONE.
