We did well with all walkway, shrub, bush, and other removal. This takes no skill. The front walk had to be redone 3 times and still is not right. The new back patio and walkway is now lower than the rest of the yard and turns into a lake with minimal rain. I had NO previous water problem. In the front and side I have draining problems as well, as the street side is higher than the house side. To make the raised beds they threw dirt willy-nilly covering crowns of existing plants (causing rot) and completely covering others, in one instance covering rocks I had previously used as bed liner (they did not remove the rocks.) The patio is not even close to what I asked for (can live with this, but not the water problems). As you can see from the pictures not a lot of mulch around. The front yard is almost entirely weeds, the back slightly better. This is a very brief synopsis of our problem. The contractor promised to come back and fix the problems because he wants us to be happy. That was 5 weeks ago!
