Overpriced for a Stamford location...Greenwich prices. Extra add on charges at every turn. Clueless staff & drs ... one doesn’t know what the other has said & done despite notes in my pets file! ‘Dr’ who ‘didn’t know’ what 2 of the meds the previous ‘Dr’ prescribed even were...WHAT?! Incompetence makes me nervous. Picking up files & changing vets ASAP.

I've had mixed experiences: Great experience with one vet (caring, concerned, professional). But on another occasion, I expressed concern regarding discoloration on my dog's nose. The second vet couldn't care less. Her response: watch it, maybe take a picture, but she did not exam the nose nor even look at it. Later, I did online research and learned that certain spots or discoloration can be problematic. The attendants at the front desk are hit or miss--some are friendly while others can act as though customers are an inconvenience. Last, but not least, they are expensive in comparison to other vets. I can tolerate the front desk, but not the inconsistency of professionalism.

They're a little on the expensive side.

If you have money to burn, you will like VCA Davis. I brought my cat who wasn`t eating as much as usual and left there over $1,000 poorer for a cat with an upper-respiratory infection. The same issue would have cost $200 at another vet (diagnosis, blood work, eye drops) - I know - I checked afterward. The problem with VCA is they do not suggest conservative treatment even in non-emergency situations. The cat was better in a week with just eye drops. There was no call for ultra-sound and xrays right away. We could have waited a week, then if there was no improvement go for more aggressive treatments.
Are the vets knowledgeable? yes
Are the techs good? some are great, some pretty bad - it`s hit or miss. One tech actually didn`t restrain my cat with a catheter. It`s a miracle the cat didn`t tear out the tubing with his teeth.
Are they overpriced? yes. The same blood test I paid $350 for was $120 at another nearby vet.

I use them all the time. They're great! Their service is great. The quality of the people they have is great. They're very smart and they know what they're doing. I'm very satisfied with their service. Their price is pretty reasonable, comparatively.

Ongoing services for ill dog. Caring, very responsive, follow-up calls, costs given before service, entire staff caring and professional. Vets sensitive to my concerns and reassuring and answers all questions fully. When the prognosis didn't look good, I was taken into a separate room to break the news. Doctors Triplett and Gordon have been the primary veterinarians we have used.

This was an easy process. We dropped them off one morning and they stayed one night for observation because they have someone on staff there 24/7. There were no problems with the surgery or after. All the stitches stayed in well. All of the staff is very professional including the office staff, nurses and doctors. They are kind, considerate and their pricing is good.

Saw pet right away. Excellent advice and care. Only vet that does surgery and he was professional, caring and honest. The people at Davis, from the staff to the vets, love animals and it shows.

THEY'RE EXCELLENT BECAUSE THEY'RE DEPENDABLE. I TRUST THEM WITH MY ANIMALS. THEY HAVE A CLEAN KENNEL. SHE'S NEVER COME HOME WITH ANY PROBLEMS. THE PEOPLE WERE VERY FRIENDLY AND VERY NICE. THEY ARE PROFESSIONAL.

I'D RATE IT AN "A". THEY'RE VERY PROFESSIONAL. THE MANNER IN WHICH THEY HANDLED EVERYTHING WAS GOOD. THE QUALITY OF WORK IS VERY GOOD. MY DOG IS FULLY RECOVERED AND IS BACK TO HER OLD SELF PLAYING AND RUNNING AROUND IN THE BACK YARD LIKE SHE DID BEFORE THE SURGERY.

I WOULD RECOMMEND THE COMPANY BASED ON THE DOCTOR WHICH IS WHY I WENT. I THINK HE'S VERY CURRENT WITH HIS INFORMATION ON PETS AND ANIMALS. HE WAS VERY CONCERNED AND RESPONDED VERY QUICKLY TO OUR NEEDS.

WE HAVE HAD THREE DOGS GO THROUGH THIS HOSPITAL. IT IS A PLACE THAT YOU FEEL VERY COMFORTABLE AND REASSURED THAT EVERYTHING WILL BE OKAY. THE STAFF ALONG WITH THE DOCTORS MAKE YOU FEEL THAT YOUR DOG IS THEIR FAVORITE.

THE CAT NEEDED TO HAVE HIS NAILS CUT AND HIS HAIR CUT (HE IS A LONG HAIR) AND THE FUR BALLS CAN BE QUITE DIFFICULT TO BRUSH OUT. THE STAFF AT THE OFFICE IS VERY FRIENDLY AND TAKES A GENUINE INTEREST IN EACH ANIMAL THAT THEY TAKE CARE OF. THE CAT ALWAYS IS HAPPY TO LEAVE AND HE LOOKS GREAT.

THIS ANIMAL HOSPITAL IS GREAT FOR PETS. THEY TREAT THE ANIMALS VERY WELL. YOU CAN ALSO KEEP YOUR ANIMALS IN A NICE PLACE WHILE YOUR AWAY.

MY EXPERIENCE WITH THE DAVIS ANIMAL HOSPITAL WAS FAIR. I BELIEVE I WAS CHARGED TOO MUCH. MY DOG WAS IN GOOD HANDS, HOWEVER, ALTHOUGH THERE WERE TIMES WHEN I FEEL HE WAS NOT TREATED PROPERLY.

I WAS PLEASED WITH THE CARE THEY GAVE MY CAT. THEY CALLED WHEN SHE WAS READY TO COME HOME AND SHE WAS DEFINITELY TAKEN VERY GOOD CARE OF. I FOUND THE EMPLOYEES TO ALL BE KIND AND HELPFUL.
