Jack was quick, courteous, and actually texted me to get in contact with me, which is important since I rarely can take calls at work. He and his crew quickly and safely took care of the tree issues I hired them for.  Originally, I had only asked for them to drop the dead tree as my husband and I can take care of the rest, but he happily sectioned and piled the wood for us - saving us another chore for the weekend.

Jack and his team are terrific. They were very punctual, communicated well about what was going to happen and were extremely professional. They never seemed to mind my dozens of curious questions about their work, either!
With the tree that was trimmed, the team periodically stopped to look at the tree overall to make sure that it was balanced and the trimming they were doing made sense. When the original plan on which limbs to remove didn't seem to be right, instead of just cutting more or leaving it as is, Jack and his team asked me to take a look to make sure I would be happy with their suggestion of removing additional limbs before they started cutting.
The tree that was taken down was in a narrow space between two houses and the crew was extremely careful with every branch and part of the trunk that was coming down. They worked carefully and methodically to ensure that nothing came down on either house. The trunk was trimmed into sections and neatly stacked for us to be able to split it for firewood, with pieces that wouldn't be easily split taken away.
I think my property is tidier than when they started, as they raked, swept and blew twigs, leaves, sawdust and trimmings off of all surfaces including the patio, lawn, back porch, and roofs. This was done at the end of the first day so that debris wasn't tracked into the house and again at the end of the job. I was also provided with a suggestion on how to repair the driveway (damage due to tree roots, not their work) which was helpful.
I would absolutely recommend Sunrise Tree Service for any needs.

In my opinion it went as expected. They showed up as scheduled with the proper equipment and crew. We re-confirmed what action the crew would be taking and they began working. It turned out to be an all day project as this tree is quite massive with many trunks so the crew had to take their time moving the equipment into position and properly lowering the cut limbs.
I was advised that one of the existing cables was broken, however, they advised not replacing it as the limbs that were removed lightened the load and the fact that this is a White Oak (strong branches / trunks).
The crew did a professional clean up of the cut limbs and branches.

Things could not have gone better.  Jack was extremely responsive in returning calls, estimating and scheduling.  He did everything he said he would do and on time.  We asked that he be careful not to damage a small hydrangea which in reality was in the way of the job.  I was amazed that he found a way to protect the plant and still do the job perfectly.  While he was at our house removing the tree and stump, we asked if he would be able to grind out another stump.  He was happy to do it and charged us just a little more.  When the job was done, they cleaned up the yard so well that we could barely tell where the tree had been.  We highly recommend Sunrise Tree Care and will definitely us them again in the future.

If you can get in touch with them, Sunrise does good work at a reasonable cost.  The challenge is getting in touch with them.  This may not be a big issue if you are looking for one off service, but if you like developing longer term relationships with contractors, it's a big problem.  And, not surprisingly, the communication vacuum is worst in the wake of storms when you most need help with trees.  It's a shame, because Jack is a very nice guy and does good work.

Jack was very professional and accurate on his estimates; he made some good suggestions what trees/branches needed to be pruned. He and his crew were on time. They did an excellent job cleaning up afterward. I would use Sunrise Tree again.

I had a fantastic experience with Sunrise Tree Care.  I sent Jack and email and received an immediate response.  He even came out the same day to take a look at the project.  On the next business day Jack  arrived to perform the job.  I definitely plan to use Sunrise Tree Care again in the future.

Sunrise Tree Care LLC were very professional. There's a wooded area at the back and it was overgrowing our property. They dealt with that. There was a magnolia tree in the front that had a sucker which was going to damage the trunk so they took that off at the root. They were very punctual: they came out and did the estimate within a few days of requesting it. Then they were able to come out and do the work very soon after that. I would totally use them again and would recommend them.

I've been using them for years. I recommended him and continue to recommend him. I use them all the time. He is very responsive. It depends on how much work there is in town because we have a lot of problems with trees coming down in town when it storms. I recommend him to a lot of people.

Once I read the reviews on Angie's List I called Sunrise for an estimate.  I left a voice mail and email message and it was returned quickly.  I met Sunrise at the house at the appointed time (Jack called to confirm his arrival) and we discussed removal of tree branches and easiest access for boom truck, which happened to be through the neighbor's driveway.  A written estimate was provided via email, which was the price discussed while on site. Jack asked for the neighbor's phone number so he could contact them regarding the use of the driveway.  Within several days, the crew arrived and the tree branches were removed.  Since I was out of town when the work occurred, an email with photo of work being done was sent to me, which I greatly appreciated.  I am very satisfied with my experience.

It went very well overall.

I called and left a VM for Jack the owner; he returned the call within 24 hours and was accommodating in coming to our home late so I could be home to meet him. I showed him what we wanted done and he spotted a tree for pruning that we had not considered. He sent an estimate in a few days and was very competitive in pricing. He even came out a second time since we decided to do a little more work and provided another estimate promptly.
We had 2 other companies provide quotes, but we decided to go with Sunrise since Jack was going to be there working alongside his crew and he had a vested interest since it is his company.
They brought some equipment the day before and showed up promptly the next morning to start. His crew was professional, courteous and above all SAFE. All the proper safety equipment and precautions were taken.
After they completed the work, they left the yard in the same condition they found it.
We would definitely use Sunrise again and would highly recommend them. 
P.S. If you have young kids who are fascinated with truck they will love. Our 2.5 year old decide to move chairs to every window so he could follow the work and would scream with excitement.

Did a very professional and excellent job removing a tree, trimming 4 other  trees.  Reasonable job grinding the stump.  Very easy to work with and very professional in terms of an estimate, scheduling and promptness of work.

Sunrise was very efficient, well-priced, and did a good job with the work.

My kids call the owner "Jack the Tree Guy".  He's done work for me many times.  He may take a while to return phone calls (especially after big storms), but once the job is agreed to, he's there the next day, gets it done & cleaned up.

Jack, his crew, truck, chipper and other equipment arrived early on the scheduled day: 5 days after the estimate (week-end was in between). The crew was polite, chipped a few extra rotting logs, cut a some vines and were very efficient and professional. They answered my questions and requests. They were experienced and, unlike a friend's experience, used safe practices. Sunrise Tree Care is licensed and insured. I would definitely use them again and highly recommend them to anyone needing tree service. I called them based on a recommendation from another house services professional. I thought the price was fair for this area. All in all everyone at Sundrise Tree Care was terrific!
