Description of Work: I retained the services of Nautical Details for general washing and waxing and for brightwork varnishing and oiling of teak deck, toe rails, cockpit table, and companionway. While the actual workers are generally agreeable, they made a number of mistakes, and caused some damage, including permanent stains, and other serious problems. It is conceivable that with there might be a way to resolve these complaints but, unfortunately, the owner of the business, Margarita, is almost impossible to deal with. She talks incessantly about irrelevant things going on in her life and, consequently, she is a poor listener. She refuses to accept any responsibility for the quality of work, and thus approaches business matters in an unprofessional manner. I will not allow Nautical Details near my property.

+ -1 moreI have never had such excellent service. Everything that they promise was done on time and to perfection. Tobi was full of expert advice. We fixed and on going problem that hasn't reoccured. They washed it every week until I put her away this winter. The boat still looked great this spring. I will be using Nautical Details again this year.
Description of Work: Detailed and waxed the top of my boat and cleaned the interior of my 40 foot East Bay Varnished all the exterior teak.

+ -1 moreMargarita quoted $50/hr and estimated one day to clean the boat. I met her cleaner at the boat first thing in the morning. Then, without my knowledge, a second cleaner apparently showed up and worked on the boat. We were never advised that the actual rate amounted to $100/hr for day's work! We complained about our bill (since it doubled) and Margarita then proceeded to call and harass my wife repeatedly. She is quite possibly the most unprofessional service person I have ever dealt with. Stay away.
