Joe and his apprentice were amazing! I picked him after reading reviews on Angie's List. He worked with me so that I could use the Energize CT low interest loan (other plumbers didn't want to be bothered). My 90 year old furnace died in the middle of December and we needed heat fast! I knew that steam heat required a plumber with lots of experience, as it's a dying art. Joe knows hist stuff. He was always punctual and showed up when he said he would, and his clean-up was A+. Most importantly, the work he did was amazing! Hooked up the gas line, worked with inspectors for the permits. I was amazed at how much pride Joe and his apprentice took in their work. He spent lots of time explaining the maintenance procedures. Don't look any further if you need plumbing work done! I recommended him on a neighborhood email group and they were thrilled with his work also.

Triangle Tube modcon boiler died at 7:30 PM on a Sunday night. Contacted Joe at Horvath Plumbing and Heating by text and he diagnosed what i suspected by phone and was on-site within an hour. Blower was replaced and heat back on before the temperature in the house even dropped two or three degrees! Joe was quick, very professional and very detailed in the work and the explanation he provided. His price was very reasonable given the parts replaced and the speed of service. I won't hesitate to recommend and he will now be the only plumbing/HVAC contractor on our phones!

Scheduling was very easy. Joe was quickly accessible over text, and I was able to arrange an appointment very quickly. He came on time, kept me appraised of what needed to get done as he was working, and the fixes were very effective.

Joe is a hard-working, extremely professional individual who gets the job done. He was honest and transparent in detailing the scope of various jobs and very fair in his pricing. Joe is dedicated to his profession and with his many years of experience, he answered our family's prayers in not having a terrible situation end up being a nightmare. We are relieved and extremely thankful that he was successful with what we were afraid might result in having to replace our furnace. It is amazing that Joe was able to salvage and repair the various furnace components that had succumbed to years of damage. Joe and Mike also worked on several bathroom plumbing needs doing so to our complete satisfaction with clean-up to perfection.

Joe is a pro and prices fairly. He is hard to get scheduled but when he does the job he does a great job.

After being stood up by another plumber and dealing with no heat or hot water for two days I found Joe's contact information. Called him up and he was able to come out within the next hour (came exactly when promised). After thorough checking of all parts of a complicated high efficiency boiler Joe was able to start it up in no time. It becomes obvious very quickly that Joe has very deep expertise in his field. He was extremely professional and was very respectful of our time. He did not try to oversell any services or replace any parts that did not need any replacement. He was very comfortable working with this boiler(TriangleTube HE boiler) and surely knew the unit inside out. I was very impressed with his professionalism and deep expertise.
I am very happy to have found Horvath plumbing and I have no doubt that Joe will be the first and only person we will call next time.

Finally found a plumber I can 1) trust and 2) does excellent work!! He and his team were friendly, professional and explained the work that he was going to do to fix the problems I had and why. After completing the work quickly, he made sure that I was satisfied with the work done. The fee he charged was very reasonable, especially compared to the other plumbers I've had in the 17 years I've owned my home.  I wish I had found him sooner.

I was able to connect with Joe right at the end of his scheduled hours and he made a quick detour to address the problem on his way home. (And gave me a discount on his service call because it was "on the way.") He explained the problem, what he was doing to correct it and managed to make the fix in no time at all. He was confident, friendly, and gave additional helpful information for some future options we might want to consider in upgrading our service in the future. A true pleasure and a great find - especially in the "sudden need" department!

They fixed leaking pipe.

I had an emergency with a toilet overflowing at our commercial location. It was on a Saturday and I needed it fixed instantly. Joe came out within 30 minutes and was able to fix the toilet in a short period of time. In addition to the fix he was able to educate me about my toilet and let me know why the issue was occurring and how he fixed it. He also informed me that it was likely to happen again based upon our setup. He made intelligent suggestions that are likely to fix the problem permanently. I would HIGHLY recommend him and his skilled services to anyone.

Joe and John came back the second day and spent two hours re-constructing the drain pipes and re-aligning the pipes in the basement. He did not charge us for the two hours he spent the previous day because, as he said, and quot;We did not solve the problem and
it will reeoccur sometime soon. After two hours Joe fixed the drain and it works better than it has ever worked.
Joe is excellent and we recommend him highly.

He looked at the drain pipe first and saw the problem in about 10 seconds. All other inquiries just had no idea, or want to cut hole in ceiling or other drywall.
Joe and his apprentice, John (who is a dear also), replaced drain pipe connection and explained every step of the way of what he was doing, and why the old caulking was bad and installed poorly. It made sense, since there were two other plumbing mishaps when room was remodeled in 2003.
I highly recommend Joe. You'll be happy you hired him.

We spent two years analyzing where water was coming from above our living room ceiling.  Our bathroom is directly above.  The dilema was that when tub was filled for a bath, it would leak thru ceiling.  This did not happen for showers.  Manufacturer of this tub make some suggestions of what to look for, including coloring water in tub.  Every idea did not work.  Could not see leak around or under the tub when tub skirt was removed.  Spoke to some friend plumbers who all recommened cutting out drywall to get a better view.  No thanks. 
Along comes Joe (and his apprentice John), who looked at drain and announced he saw the problem.  This took all of 10 seconds.  He explained it all to me, and proceeded to connect drains with proper putties.
My grandsons will be so happy to have their 8 ft. bubble baths again (and so will I). 

It was a big job. The overall experience was excellent. I had to wait for a while to have the work done. They were responsive, punctual, and professional. They were competitive in price.
