Very pleased. Showed up when they said they would. Gave a fair price. Did good work. The gutters were all cleaned well and they left a clean work area. Will use again in the fall.

The idea was to do the cleaning and guards together, but it didn’t work out that way. They put gutter guards on gutters that actually weren’t that high. They seemed to do an okay job. The guards are still working good, cause they’re new so they better. I don’t know how they stack up in price. It’s like when people are climbing on your house, it’s more important that they be good. My son-in-law had used them so that’s how I got them and he just got them off the internet.

They want a contract to come 3 or 4 times a year. A real person answers the phone. One set of gutters is quite high. They have to climb a serious ladder, which they brought with them. It was actually two guys from I’m assuming Guatemala. I expected to have 20-year-old sort of young athletic kind of guys, but they were middle aged people, but they were very strong and good. They’re good.

I was really pleased with the service and outcome. My house needed new gutters because they were separating from the roof line and water was running behind them. The gutter guys came to the house, measures, and gave me a detailed proposal with pictures. When I made the appointment they called me when an earlier slot opened up and showed up on a Saturday to put up my new gutters. They came by 9am and were done by 4pm. The crew was polite, friendly, and professional. They were also very quiet--I was working at home that day and I wasn't distracted by noise at all. Two days later there was a significant rain and all the issues with water running behind the gutters was gone. And they new gutters look terrific.

First called Gutter Guys in early December.  Late in the year, but it was still warm.  They told me someone would be out within 7-10 days.  I let 14 days go by and called to see whether they had finished.  They replied that had not been out to my house yet, but they'd put me at the top of the list.  Christmas and New Years went by and it got cold, I called them to see what their plan was and ask whether they had gotten out while it was still warm, and they told me they took the week off between Christmas and New Years and hadn't gotten out to do the work.  If they had been honest and told me that originally, or especially the second time I called to ask the status, I would have called someone else as I wanted it done before the freeze!

It stayed cold for some time, once it warmed back up they called to schedule a visit.  The lady I spoke to on the phone told me the last time they had been out (with the previous owners), the cost had been $140, and prices had risen 10% since then, so it would be roughly $156.  (Last year I had my gutters done via an Angie's List offer for $140.)  Then they called to reschedule to the next day because they had been too busy.  When they came out, their worker got out of his truck, and immediately told me that the price for the gutters was $220 because my roof was large.  I balked at the increase in price, and he told me he'd bring it down to $180 since that was what I had "allowed for" on the phone.

The work was fine and he cleaned up after himself, but the experience left a very bad taste in my mouth.  I don't usually write reviews, especially negative ones as I understand how they can hurt small businesses, but Gutter Guys lack of follow-up and follow-through on their promises coupled with jacking up the price afterward are poor business practices.  If they'd been honest upfront I would have found someone else to do the job who could have done it before the gutters froze.  Then after they caused delays they jacked the price up.  Maybe if I had a bigger job for them the response would have been better, but if I can't count on them for a simple cleaning, why would I want to pay them for more extensive work?
Response from Gutter Guys LLC
"I am sorry that the Member feels the way he described. From my notes it is evident that he called in the middle of December, a very busy time of the season, and it appears that we let him know that we were a bit backed up. Then the weather of course became a factor. The service was performed on 2/22/16, and then It looks like the Member was slow in paying. When he got a third reminder about the bill he coincidentally realized that our service was an F. -------------- - Account notes- 5/7/2016: LM regarding overdue balance. cc 2/22/2016 4:52:23 PM: Cleaning done for $180 by S_____; M/A sent with invoice - AM 1/11/2016: Customer called to ask when we will be there. Average.
I think the price was a little high for the amount of work.  The worker didn't have the "downspout screens" with him so they were never installed. I called them within a day but I am not sure if they will make a no charge trip to take care of it.
I do appreciate that they performed work on a fairly short notice during the peak season.

The entire experience was amazing starting with the estimate. We had gotten a quote from another company but they weren't as knowledgeable or professional as the Gutter Guys. They took the time to explain things to me because I didn't know the first thing about gutters. On the day of the installation, they showed up on time and went over everything again. I was extremely happy with the end result. I will definitely use them again.

I have used gutter guys twice. First time on our house about 3 years ago which is 6000 sq foot home with about 750 linear feet of gutters.  We had 6 inch gutters aluminum  installed along with the downspouts and the special strainers that they put at junction of the leader with the gutter.  They make the gutter right on the premises so they can make any length so you do not have seams. The price was about $6500. They were prompt and did a good job cleaning up and the owner called to follow up a few weeks later to make sure everything was ok.  We also used them on a smaller rental property and the cost was about $1600 on a 2 family house which is about 2000 sq feet. I do not know the linear footage.  Again, they did a good job. They did not ask for the second payment until after the job was completed and that we were fully satisfied with the job. The workers were very nice and the quality of the materials seems very good.

I had asked for, and hoped, the person could advise as to improvements to overall gutter/downspout system improvements (upgrades they would quote), but he was just a gutter cleaner and only suggested strainers, etc. That said, I will use them again.

Requested service on their site and received an immediate call stating that they would be out within a week.  After a couple of weeks, I received another call asking if I had requested service.  They came about a week after that second call, all-in-all about a month after requested.  They came when I wasn't home as long as I agreed to pricing range, which was very convenient.

After doing a walk through of the gutters after returning home, I noticed one of the down spouts was fully clogged with leaves, and was frozen solid.  Could have been prevented, but expect that they will come back to fix it.

job went well.  we don't have bats anymore.
Response from Gutter Guys LLC
"I'm glad that the bats are gone. However, this must be a mistake. Gutter Guys does not remove bats or any other pests, nor is Gutter Guys licensed as a pest control company. And, my records do not show that we worked for this customer. There is only one other possibility, someone may be using the trademarked Gutter Guys without authorization or permission."
