What ended up happening is an over billing. The electricians showed up late, took very long breakfast and lunch breaks and the project took much longer than it should have. Moreover the owner billed out a full 16 hours (2 electricians) per day even though the hours were significantly less.
While most days we were out working and letting them in, we do have cameras and were able to determine the actual time. Of the 14 days they came out we only had 8 days of camera footage to compare. Of the 8 days we had determined 20.5 hours over billing. This equates to over 4k in over charges.
After reviewing this with the owner of the business. His stubbornness refused to budge even a little.
I highly recommend steering away from this company unless you have a firm contract and scope of work. Use an architect to ensure nearly everything is covered.
