CITY CARTING CO
About us
City Carting Holding Company, Inc, based in Stamford, CT, is a major participant in the Refuse/Recycling services industry in Fairfield (CT), New Haven (CT) and Westchester (NY) Counties. In 2005, a merger of the long-established (more than 35 years ago) and highly reputed interests of Stamford-based City Carting, Inc. and B&S Carting Co, Inc., and their various affiliates formed the basis of a remarkable success story. A visionary business plan, stressing extraordinary customer service, an expanded and diversified customer base, and a comprehensive vertical integration program was conceived and implemented. In 2006, Waste Conversion Technologies of Milford, CT was acquired providing the enterprise with a third transfer station that included direct access to CSX rail transportation. In 2007, the company acquired the Norwalk hauling operations of Waste Management of Connecticut resulting in a much expanded MSW presence and a fourth transfer station. In 2008, the assets and customer bases of Greco Carting and Aadvantage Waste Services were acquired. In 2011, a plan to expand further into Westchester County (NY) was successfully implemented via the acquisition of Somers Sanitation (including a NY-DEO permitted transfer station), Bria Carting and Kleen Sweep Container Service.

My only complaints are relatively minor: When Johan is on vacation the replacement drivers have difficulty. They either can't find the address (not hard) or are late or don't come at all, requiring me to call up sometimes. The only other issue is that they stopped taking xmas trees a few years back, so I now have to chuck them in my backyard.
