I went there several times to ask advice about carpeting with different flooring in different apartments that I am considering renting and each time, she was very, very helpful, and then when I did find an apartment that met all of my needs, I started to look at carpeting on her establishment and I had picked out 2 carpets and the owner is Eleanor Kazazz. I've chosen 2 carpets, 1 for the hallway in the living room and the dining area and another one for the bedroom and she had asked me where was it going, what was it for and I told him it was for my uncle, he's paralyzed and blah blah blah, she was very friendly person and I saw that was for all the people that would come in, she would excuse herself, she would help and she'd come right back to me and whatever. When I showed her the carpeting that I had selected for the 2 areas, she said, I know your story, this carpeting is going to cost you about $5000, and then she said, I don't want you spending that kind of money, that's your uncle's money, we're not going to spend that kind of money and that she pulled out a book and she said, look through here, and I was with my husband at that time, and she said, pick out what you would like. So I picked out a new 2 set of brownish tan beige carpeting for the large area and then I took out a soft blue for the bedroom and she came back, she said this is fine and I'm going to use this to take care of the type of padding with this and she said, you'll get a lot of wear out of it and she told me the fibers and why they were better than the more expensive carpeting was. She said I can't give you a price, I'm going to have the guys go over and measure and she said can you go with them now and I said, yes, certainly. So my husband and I went over with her work and he came with another guy and did the sketching and they did the measuring and he said, there's a couple of ways I can lay carpet in this living room, dining room, foyer, because it's a fairly large apartment if I have to get in there and he said if I laid up this way, I have to order more carpeting and he said the seam will be here and pointed out that and if I put it right this way, she said the seam will be at the doorway which is a better place for it to be, and then I said, then do it the second one. And so we went back and he gave Eleanor the measurements and she said that would be $1500 as opposed to $5000 and then they came in about 3 days later, they were supposed to come in 2 days later but in fact they came in 4 days later because I had a problem with something else that had to be done on the bathroom, the grouting had to be washed down otherwise there would be powder all over the place so that was delayed but they came in as soon as the guys are finished cleaning the bathroom, they came in that very afternoon and they had everything laid out, they are finished like 2 1/2 hours. They did a lovely job, there was a bit of carpeting left and when I said when you're ready, when you're in the apartment she said decide what you're going to do with the extra, she said you might want to have me cut it and bind it into runners or she said whatever you decide to do, just let me know and there will be no extra charge. So I would rate and her workers were very polite and I would rate Eleanor and her Carpet Time company "A" all around. I'm going to use Eleanor again because my sister passed away 3 years ago and I am the sole survivor and I'm in the process of cleaning her house and I had damaged due to Sandy and I am consulted with the realtor already and the real estate agent has advised me the unfinished portion of the house, the living room and the family room to put in carpeting and this is out in Glencoe so I immediately called Eleanor up and she knew who I was immediately and I said, Eleanor would you work out here in Glencoe, she said anywhere you want me to come Geraldine, I will come, don't worry. When the time comes, she'll come in and I have to talk to her pretty soon because I don't know whether we should just move out the concrete that's in the family room which is like the basement level or if we should put in a thin sheet of plywood and then the padding and then the carpeting so she's going to advise me on that and I'll be in touch with her, I'm not going to use anyone else. She's really great.
Description of Work: I did use Carpet Time and I'm going to be using her again.
