I got a total run around! I had some antique furniture to sell. After my initial contact, I promptly received a call from a local agent asking to schedule a time to appraise my furniture. I returned his call - no response. Eventually went I did reach him, he asked me to sent photos - I did but still no response. After several attempts with the agent to schedule an appointment, I finally called the main number again. The receptionist asked me to send the photos. I did but of course, I did not get a response. The service that I received was not what they advertise on the website. I got excuses, excuses, excuses but no service!!!!!
Description of Work: After muliple contancts with the business over a 6 week period, I was not able to schedule an appointment. I got the run around.

From the initial phone call to when I called off the deal, every time my husband or I spoke with the director, she treated us like she was doing us a huge favor rather than as valued clients or customers. Anytime I had a question, she seemed insulted and put-upon that she had to answer it. She was extremely unpleasant, so I was glad to be able to take my business elsewhere. It is a really basic thing--especially when dealing with people who've just lost a loved one and are managing an estate--to be kind. That's all she needed to do to keep my business. I left her voice mail to call off the deal and asked her to email or call back to acknowledge the message. She couldn't be bothered. I assume she didn't want or need my business, but she was definitely lacking even in the basic compassion and politeness departments.
Description of Work: These people tracked me down via public records right after my parent died. They sent me a letter offering estate clean out services. As I was left with a large number of antiques that I had to get rid of to sell the house, I had them come and make me an offer. The dealer who came was knowledgeable and courteous. I had the option of taking cash in hand, or take the chance of making a little more by consigning the items to auction at their auction house. I arranged for pickup of the items, but subsequently received a better offer from a different dealer. I was happy to call off the deal because of the way the director had treated me and my husband.
