AAVON PEST CONTROL INC

I used them several times at my previous house for a full pest control and prevention service and was very satisfied. 3 years ago I moved to a slightly bigger house with a much higher price tag and lo and behold, my bill for this, more limited, service was 2x what I had paid previously. So, I never used them again. I would have just let it go at that, but Angie's list keeps pestering me to write a review, so here ya go.

Great! Got an honest assessment from seasoned professional. I liked Aavon because they gave me a written assessment of my situation with suggestions for keeping specific pests problems away. They didn't just come out and spray and/or sell me a series of sprays like other companies do.

They are reliable, they are prompt in getting back to us and they do thorough inspections.

I called AAVON shortly after New Year's 2011 to have squirrels removed from from my attic. John was very professional and friendly in catching the nuisance squirrels. I appreciate his persistence in catching them. Its nice to have them removed.

They analyzed problem. Supplied treatment and follow up. Very reliable, knowledgable and professional.

They came out that same day which was helpful because of the smell and the fact that I have a small child and two cats to worry about. He was able to catch two that day and laid baited cage-traps for the others. He checked the traps daily and while we didn't catch any more of the skunks, we did catch a racoon which he also took away. He also closed up the holes once it was clear that the skunks were no longer living under the shed.

My experience with them has been very good. They came very quickly and did what they told me they were going to do. They did the job and I knew what I wanted right from the beginning. They used organic methods and that’s what I liked. I wouldn’t be able to comment on their price since I didn’t compare their prices with any other company. They sprayed and there are no ants now. I would use their services in the future too.

They are amazing. They do not use spray, but they use organic gel to treat the ants around the house. They are extremely knowledgeable on all kinds of pests and their approach is not toxic, but more natural. There work was extremely effective and the ants have not come ever since they did the work. They also provided a lot of information about other things that are useful.

Excellent experience given that my family were complaining about "noises" in the attic and Aavon was able to quickly provide a diagnosis and a plan to remedy.

Was originally told on the phone that the workman would come, inspect the house, and provide an estimate for the work. The inspection fee of $150 to be applied to the work performed. I was told he would set traps in the house in likely areas of infestation, set poison outside, and block any obvious entry points into the house. Was expecting to pay about $275 total for the service. ended up paying $350. Inspector who came was very pleasant, but said that blocking entry points to the house was useless, and recommended the moth repellent/ropel treatment instead of poison. He did not set any traps but left us glue traps to place ourselves instead; swore they worked better (although we have evidence of mice, none have been caught in the glue traps to date). Not sure if the spraying worked, (it supposedly takes a few days) but it is only good for 3 mos., so this is an expensive solution if it does work.

I used them a few years ago for something else, so I called them again. They do excellent work. They were prompt, efficient, and did a great job getting the bird out of the vent safely.

They show up when they say they are going to show up, which is a plus in my book.
