Within 2 minutes stated we needed to replace the fan engine. He called his office and told me the fan engine was $965 and another $100 to install it. I looked it up online and the price on Amazon is $170 (new not used). Everyone knows that in the service trade industry some (unethical) people sometimes double the cost of parts. Never heard of anyone jacking up the price by over 500% of the RETAIL cost. It appears they come out and then pick a part, tell you it can't be fixed and must be replaced and then inflate the cost of a part which costs $170 to ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS to install it. They charge $99 to come out and do this. They're charging you to see if they can overcharge you, so there's no risk to them. Final outcome: I bought it on Amazon for $170 and installed it myself which took 30 minutes.
