AQUA PUMP CO INC

I was quoted 500 dollars for purging of lines, scrubbing of walls, pumping contaminated water out of the well, and water treatment. What I recieved was a bunch of bleach thrown into the well. Nothing more! I was charged 600 dollars. I called to discuss this matter with the owner who refused to refund me at all. I have used their company in the past and have been a customer for years. I was even going to buy a new pump from them but after calling several other well drilling companies I was told point blank I was taken for a ride. What a low life scam artist.

Replaced this pump. You can buy this pump on line for $745, delivered to your house. They charged me $3,200.00 to replace it. The only part they used! A rip-off. Find a local plumber or a better reputable Company such as Greco & Haines. Aqua pump has great people working there, but the owner, I am not sure!!!!! They are very expensive. Do yourself a favor, and save money, do not use Aqua Pump Co., Inc for their services.

Discovered no water from our well in the morning.  Called Aqua Pump and they came out about 1 pm.  Technician saw damage to the capacitor and proceeded to check for shorts and continuity out to the well and and subsequently to the pump. 
Determined that the pump was inoperable and pulled it from the well.  Had to pull 140 feet of pipe.  Replaced the pump and wiring (since the old wire did not have a ground wire).  Put in a slightly more powerful pump to increase the flow.  Sanitized the well and installed a new well cap.  Flushed the line for several minutes, but water still appeared brown.
Total time was about 2 hours.   Technician seemed very knowledgeable and worked efficiently.
After 4 days there is still some coloration to the water, but much less than on the first day.   Our town of Suffield has very high iron content in the water.
I'm not sure whether the price is fair or competitive.  This is a difficult service to price.  If the price is much higher than competitors then I would have to lower my ratings.

WE FOUND OUT AFTER THE FACT, THAT WE WERE PROBABLY OVERCHARGED FOR WHAT THEY DID. SEVERAL FRIENDS OF OURS SAID THAT THE PRICE SHOULD NOT HAVE BEEN MUCH OVER $1000. THEY DID GOOD WORK AND CAME RIGHT OUT, BUT I WOULDN'T USE THEM BECAUSE OF THE PRICES.
