I assumed that my two units needed to be completely refinished, but the owner-estimator pointed out that since the units were in reasonably good condition, a deep cleaning to remove hard-water deposits could be done at less expense. This proved to be the case. Those areas that needed filling (chips and screw holes) were filled in and painted, and the color in these local areas was matched perfectly (with an airgun spray painter) to the original color around them. The result looks as good as the day the house was built.
