American Yard Service & Irrigation

Pedro, the technician, was at my -new- house today. The ex-owners neglected to give us the info. for this particular yard service company. They actually left us a big box full of manuals and instructions, so the info. might be somewhere in there. God works in mysterious ways... I really needed an irrigation specialist to teach me how to use the system and, most importantly, to Winterize the system when the time comes. Pedro wrote my name and all contact info for me to become a new customer. He also walked me through the whole setup of the system and found one leaking pipe, which he immediately fixed. I have never owned a house with an irrigation system so I truly appreciate Pedro's professionalism and knowledge about the system, besides being a very friendly person who did not seemed rushed to get out of here to another job. I sent the company an email so that we can continue to receive uninterrupted service. I will update this review if needed but so far, so good!

They do a first rate work.  We have been using them about 5 years now and I would highly recommend them.

Landscape installation crew was very professional. Very happy with completed landscaping. However, 2 holly bushes located at front door suffered severe winter burn. One holly is 25% green w/75% dead leaves. Company refuses to honor its warranty which "covers all trees & shrubs for 1 yr. from installation. Warranty doesn't cover shrubs that don't survive due to failure to provide normally accepted horticultural planting care & maintenance (ie. lack of sufficient H2O, storm damage or damage done by someone or SOMETHING. Customer's responsibility to notify company within warranty period if any shrubs aren't thriving. Warranty limited to 1-time replacement." At 1 yr., holly is not thriving, though it's alive. Two garden centers & UCONN said it'll take several years for plants to recover. Company refuses to replace plants claiming they fall under the "something" part of the warranty. Rep. said they'd "lose their shirts" if they replace all plants that suffered winter burn this yr.!

THEY ARE RELIABLE. I AM PRETTY SURE THEIR PRICE IS ABOUT THE SAME AS EVERYONE ELSE. THEY ARE PROFESSIONAL AND TIMELY. THEY ALWAYS GET THE WORK COMPLETELY DONE. WE HAVE NO PROBLEMS WITH THEM AT ALL.
