Both Eddie Havens Senior and Junior treated us very well - like we were family. We require an emergency four zone furnace installation in mid-December 2017. Old furnace removed and new four zone furnace Installed within two days. Techs were focused, professional and polite. Work site left clean and tidy - took away the old furnace. Cost of new four zone furnace was quite reasonably priced. Highly recommend Imperial Oil, Propane and Plumbling to everyone.

Imperial Oil have treated us like family. Two weeks before Christmas 2017 our four zone old beast oil furnace died. We are a family of Nine. Both Eddie Havens Senior and Junior were gracious and professional. Two days later the old beast was completely gone and a new very efficient four zone furnace was installed and fully operational ! Work site was clean and the two techs installers were focused, professional and polite. The cost to replace this size furnace was quite reasonable. Recommend anyone and all to use Imperial Oil, Propane and Plumbling Company with ease of mind.! Our house is not an easy house to work on due to layout.

TL:DR: Contact "Advanced Plumbing Plumbing & Heating, Inc." out of Newington, CT instead. I cannot trust Imperial Plumbing to perform even basic plumbing jobs, and if they screw up they will not make it right and help out their customer. We purchased our newly built house in December 2013. On November 15, 2014 I noticed there was water leaking from the gate valve located directly above the hot water heater. The water had pooled on the top of the unit and had begun rusting various parts of the unit, including the water supply connection, which is built into the unit. I contacted the home builder via email immediately after noticing the issue. The builder then contacted Imperial Plumbing who sent a technician out to fix the issue. The technician came the next day and simply tightened the leaking gate valve, called it fixed, and left. The technician had not completely resolved the issue because the only way to fix it was to completely replace the unit because the corrosion process had already begun and in a few years the rust would completely eat through the connection and cause it to leak. Not to mention, a few months later the gate valve continued leaking. Unfortunately I was not in a position to tell the plumber how to do his job. On July 21, 2016 I took pictures to document the progression of the rust to show there was still an issue. Fast forward to August 18, 20176, I went to take a shower in the morning and there was no hot water. When I went downstairs I noticed the water heater had finally rusted through and a lot of water was on the floor, so I immediately turned off the water to the unit to stop the leak. I contacted the builder that day to ask what action I should take but was informed the owner of the company would not be available for at least a week. At this time my wife was 2 weeks away from giving birth to twins so I contacted another local plumber, Advanced Plumbing and Heating in Newington, CT, who came out the next business day and replaced the unit. They also helped me out by managing to claim the failure under warranty. Only the cost of the unit was covered of course, but the labor was not. I emailed the builder notifying him of what had occurred. I recapped the entire issue from the time I noticed the leak in 2014 to when the unit finally failed. I forwarded the bill for the labor and asked if they could get the plumber to cover the cost. After a lot of emails and pictures between myself, the builder, and Imperial Plumbing's Ed Havens, which I still have copies of; the plumber has denied to take responsibility by stating the labor is only covered for up to 1 year. This is not a valid reason because I initially brought the issue to their attention in November 2014, which was under a year, and they failed to completely resolve the issue at that time. The plumber also states that because the unit was replaced under warranty that it must be an issue with the unit form the factory. This is not the case because the issue is only due to improper installation of the gate valve above the heater which leaked and caused the heater to eventually rust through and fail. The builder in this case has simply been the middle man and has been as helpful as possible, they have even gone above and beyond and offered to cover roughly half the cost of labor which should be the responsibility of Imperial Plumbing, not the builder.

din fact had, the office idiot confused us (38 year customers) with someone down Main St.  who hadn't paid their bill. My wife knows Bill Havens, former owner who sold part-ownership to who knows who, very unproffesional in the last 5-6 years. The latest screw-up (no delivery mid Feb on the coldest day in 30+ years, was due to a "computer glitch"; good thing it happened at 7:00 PM, otherwise we may have froze.
This was an honorable, conciencious company until 5-6 years ago; we will never entrust them again with our lives. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH IMPERIAL!

We learned about Imperial from Kohler's customer service associates as Imperial is one of only two Kohler Premiere/Gold plumbers in North-central Connecticut. We emailed the company using the contact form on their web site and they responded the next morning. They explained that while they could certainly do the work, we were outside of their normal service area, so the job would be $350.
It was snowing the day of our scheduled service, but Mike arrived close to the expected time. He took time to look at the job and the warranty parts we had received from Kohler. Our fixtures are 10 years old, but still under Kohler's lifetime parts warranty! Mike replaced the shower temperature value without any problems - it was a newer version than the original which required the installer to set the temperature degree limit - a step that had not been absolutely required in the past.
Moving on to the whirlpool, unfortunately Mike was not able to remove the transfer value cartridge casing which was required to install the new part - he did clean out a section of the cartridge which stopped the leak. Mike was afraid that if he forced the cartridge then he might damage the entire casing or value itself. After Mike left, I spoke with Kohler's tech support team, they insisted that the casing should be able to be removed and suggested pouring white vinegar in it to dissolve any deposits. They had wished the Mike had called them directly while he was there struggling with this issue. Kohler sent out all the parts needed should an entire new valve assembly or part there of be needed in the future.
The only slight issue that I had, was that the $350 figure was to replace both defective values of which only one was replaced - the other was attempted in good faith efforts. I trust that should that valve start leaking again, then Imperial will provide an allowance for this earlier work. They do seem like an honest company.

It has gone very well throughout the years for me. They are very polite and responsive. No matter who they send out, whether it's the plumber or the furnace guy, they are always great.
