We used Glasco for a few years, and initially, their service was excellent. However, over time, the quality of their service declined. We ended up spending nearly $2,000 on a series of services for our AC system. During each visit, we were advised to undertake additional services, which we paid for, but the system ultimately stopped working. In the end, we were advised to replace the entire system. To Glasco's credit, they offered a partial refund for the service calls. However, I decided not to purchase a new system from them, considering that my system was functional before their interventions and became problematic afterward. Consequently, they refused to provide the refund, explaining that they had indeed provided service. As a customer, you should consider whether you are comfortable paying for services that may not resolve your issue. If you are looking for a service provider who can effectively fix your problem, you might want to consider other options. I strongly advise everyone to carefully evaluate their options before engaging with Glasco.

Glasco is unable to support the products they install, and do not stand behind the warranties they issue. I had a furnace installed by Glasco, which replaced our 40 year-old boiler. The new furnace almost immediately began experiencing issues - shutting down periodically, then heating zones that weren't calling for heat. Over the next several years, Glasco sent its technicians to our house for a dozen service calls to fix the brand-new furnace they installed. They charged me hundreds of dollars for these visits, and replaced various parts (two circuit pumps, igniter, etc.). They never addressed the problem. I eventually reached-out to Will, their service manager - and requested a warranty replacement. The furnace had never functioned properly since it was installed. They declined to honor the warranty. I eventually had the issue fixed, quite easily as it turns out, by a competent technician. I have since filed a complaint with the BBB, based on my experience (please go there to read it and others). I strongly recommend avoiding this company. They are incompetent.
Response from Glasco Heating & Air Conditioning Inc
"Hi [Member Name Removed]! Thanks for your feedback, as hearing a situation from a customer's perspective helps us improve our communication processes to properly set expectations and get on the same page regarding the nature of any issues that arise. Glasco is committed to standing behind our work 100%. If a customer is not happy with a service we perform, we will make it right. We have a team of many qualified technicians with technical expertise and we have a great relationship with our manufacturers to get backup when an issue is highly specific to particular unit. Our reputation in Connecticut with tens of thousands of builders and homeowners that we've developed over the past 28 years is exceptional. These customers know that Glasco never walks away from a job! According to our records, your 7 year old gas-fired hot water boiler did not have any ongoing repair needs for the first 5+ years after installation. We did replace a control board with a manufacturer's defect at no charge just days after the installation in 2015. We do not have a record that we heard from you again regarding this boiler until October of 2020, at which time the repair was not for any part of the boiler, but for a part of your zoning system, which we repaired. We also do not have any record of you completing the required maintenance for your system in those years. Our service department has been working with you to resolve your most recent issue, however it seems you were reluctant to move forward with the quoted repairs due to the cost of parts and labor. Your boiler has a manufacturer's warranty of 2 years on parts, which has long expired. We are glad to hear that you were less reticent about paying for service from another provider and were able to get your issue resolved. We wish you the best of luck going forward with your new company. We did receive a formal complaint via the Better Business Bureau, but we later received a follow-up notification that the complaint was dropped due to non-response from the complaintant."

Horrible. First, I had called in November to schedule a maintenance visit. They “put” me in the books but when the day came around, they never showed. When I called, they said they basically said in so many words that they forgot or messed up and didn’t have me on their calendar. I’m told I have to wait at least another week. Then on 12/3/18, they finally came to do the maintenance. I was told that everything was fine. But it wasn’t. Because later that week, we had a flood in the basement. Everything was fine until they came and messed with the system and then we had this flood. Coincidence? Well, that’s what’s Glasco says. They sent someone out on 12/7/18 to fix the leak. It’s fixed and while doing the work, the tech alludes to the fact that the office may be willing to work with me on pricing considering circumstances (they had just been there 3 days prior to do the maintenance check), and that I should call the office. So, I call the office. I leave a message and this person calls me back and says that basically everything was all a coincidence and that they can’t really do anything for me for the price. After a short conversation, during which he interrupted me multiple times, he says the best he can do is knock off $25. When I ask if that’s really the best, he insinuates that I should be grateful that I didn’t get charged more because the tech that came out to fix the flood on 12/7 had actually called on another tech to come help him mop up the water (I.e. mess created by their faulty system which they actually installed and maintained for 4 years). I NEVER asked for them to call another tech but now I should be grateful. [UPDATE] A few hours after I posted the original review, they emailed me saying that they would not charge me for the additional visit on 12/7. They apologized for causing any confusion and inconvenience.

Very happy I hired Glasco for an oil to gas conversion. From the start Glasco was responsive and easy to deal with. The salesman demonstrated a very good working knowledge of the products and installation. This was a differentiating factor from another HVAC company I consulted with and ultimately a big part of why I felt most comfortable with Glasco. The crew lead was also great, as was the entire crew when they did the actual installation work. Everyone from Glasco was happy to answer questions and very pleasant to work with. Will definitely use Glasco again for future work.

The cost is for a year. He was in and out of here so fast. I don't know what he did, but I'm sure he checked everything. He did what he was supposed to do. I haven't called them for any problems because I haven't had any problems.

They were excellent. They took out my oil tank. They were good. They had six trucks out by my house the day they did it. They cleaned up everything. They were excellent. They put down pads so they wouldn't spill it walking through the house. Everything was great. The price was great. I talked to different companies. Every company uses different equipment. I didn't want something that I was top of the line because I'm old and I don't know how long I'm going to be here.

Response from Glasco Heating & Air Conditioning Inc
"We spoke with [member name removed] today and explained to her that we installed a different make and model of the ductless air conditioning system for her friend than the make and model she requested be installed at her home. The model she wanted installed was more expensive. Furthermore, the rebate money is offered through the State and we provided the additional service of applying for the rebate on her behalf. We explained to her that her $1000 rebate check will be forthcoming and that she must allow 90 days per State guidelines."

The price was good for the amount of work we required. The right people were here at the right time, and the installation seems to have been done very well and very professionally. Here's my gripe: Before the installation when we expressed concern about how much of a mess they would make, we were told that they were very clean and would leave the house looking cleaner than when they started. The work that was done in living areas was reasonably neat, but our attic was left a complete mess: loose insulation all over, scraps of lumber and insulation all over, a box of wood scraps left behind, sawdust everywhere. In my opinion, the way they left the attic was completely unprofessional.

Glasco did a great job with the installation of the boiler. They installed the boiler in one day. They also tightened all the radiator pipes to the cast iron radiators we have to ensure that there would be no leaks when the heat was turned on. The separate hot water heater works great, especially if the power goes out...which it does often.
Glasco has a separate company that removes the old oil tanks for them. These guys were rough with my house. Not only did they bang the heck out of my floor they also left a trail of oil from my basement all the way through the cellar door and down the driveway. Additionally, one of the workers thought it would be a good idea and lay some of the old oil covered parts in my lawn. I still have oil stains in the dead grass patches of my lawn. Finally, while they were removing something heavy, they cracked my slate stone in my backyard walkway. I called them and they agreed to replace the stone at some point this spring/summer.
With all that, I still think they do good work for a fair price. I would not want the same company to remove the oil tank. I would also want them to show more respect for their clients property because now I have to try to grow new grass, fix a slate stone and look at the oil streak in my driveway forever.

They were professional and prompt, took a few days to install as we were setting up whole house and basement as well for heating and cooling. Their work was very good-neat and clean. I think they left the house cleaner then they found it!

Came out within a few days to discuss the project and had a quote within another couple of days. All questions were answered promptly and office staff was very courteous. When we decided to go ahead with the project and Glasco, we were given an installation date approx. 2 weeks out...very reasonable for the time of year. Installer was great, installation went smoothly, and product performs wonderfully.

Very satisfied with the professionalism, prompt service, and follow up help with the rebates.
Replaced A/C unit with Lennox AC/Heat unit using existing ducts. Piped gas supply line from the gas main installed by the utility company. Piped intake/exhaust ducts to the outside using PVC.

Absolutely professional top notch service, from start to finish. From the price quote to the finish. They arrived as scheduled and installed everything in two days. Workers were professional and clean. I had gotten 3 other quotes, and they were the cheapest. They also were the only ones to tell me about the $900 in rebates that I was due. They also have converted oil to gas to two of my neighbors.

I called Glasco and talked to the service manager and discussed the situation I faced and he suggested options and gave approximate pricing. They were a little late showing up for the appointment, but did good work and honored their estimate even though it was a little more involved than they thought. Quality of work was good and technician offered advice and answered questions helping me save some money on future a/c bills.

It was a really big job. They were excellent. The staff was extremely efficient. There was a full team that was working and they all had a job to do. They came in and did the whole job really speedily. They came back to check to make sure everything was working right. We were really satisfied with them. They were very professional. The price was fine. We didn't have anything bad to say about them. We would definitely use them again.

Paul was on time and very professional and accommodating. Bob the installer did a remarkable, thorough job and was pleasant and professional. I received many estimates and contractors came to my home to discuss what I needed. I am all electric and I had quotes ranging up to $11,000 and they were going to cut through my hardwood floor and put registers in through the floor, others wanted to give me two generators, others said I could not have air vented through my family room above the garage. Glasco did it with one compressor, through the garage to the family room. Never disturbed my flooring and ASKED me where I wanted the ceiling registers. They also showed me how to use the electronic thermostat. ALSO, the people in the office are wonderful and considerate. I would recommend them to anyone! Four of my neighbors on my street alone had hired them.
