Although the system was functioning perfectly fine with no leaks or issues as noted in their report, they recommended a full replacement of the tank to the buyers due to "stress cracks". The same "stress cracks" that occur in any cement tank over time.
They also noted a baffle was not in place which is highly suspicious as the tank was just cleaned and it was noted by the cleaner at the time that the tank and baffles were in great shape.
The bottom line, is that a company in the business of installing septic tanks and equipment should not also be in the business of inspecting septic tanks for real estate transactions.
Christopher Bryant has shown that they are not ethical enough to handle this inherent conflict of interest. While I'm sure they are not the only company that crosses this line... buyer beware, or in this case... seller beware. They will recommend a full replacement of a perfectly functioning septic tank.
Todd showed up at the beginning of the time window, but had not called. When I asked him about it, he said my number was unlisted (which it is not). He requested permission before driving the truck onto the driveway (not a problem).
He worked efficiently, locating the tank and disturbing as little turf as possible.
When he was done, he gave me both a written and oral report on the work performed and the condition of the tank, along with some informational brochures on septic systems.
I contacted the office about my "unlisted" number. The web site they had used to get my number was inaccurate, so I gave them a different web site that I've found more accurate.
