Reading previous reviews for this company and I see that I am not the only person who has felt the wrath of Rick the owner who refuses to take any responsibility for his subpar work. He is rude and condescending if you question anything about his business. When they installed my mini-split they failed to properly insulate and condensation was leaking into my ceiling leaving damage. When I asked them to come fix the issue in July, they told me to turn off the unit until they were able to come back in about 4-6 weeks. I told them I had no intension of turning off my A/C all summer due to their poor workmanship. Rick was rude and abusive when we told them we were going to continue to run the units and go after them for any damage if chose not to fix the issue. They reluctantly came out and took care of this. There were a few other issues and each time they and their staff were rude and dismissive of our concerns. Fast forward a year and 2 months since the units were finally installed. I woke up on New Years Day to no heat. The breaker was tripped. I reset the breaker and still no heat. I called a different contractor to come out and look since I did not want to deal with this company again. The new company opened the cover and found that the wires were incorrectly installed and were up against the hot pipes with the refrigerant in it for heating. The heat from the pipe melted the wire causing it to arc and blast a hole in the pipe with all the refrigerant in it. I called R&W and explained the situation hoping they would at least come out and investigate. They told me that since it was more than a year since they installed it they would charge me a service charge to come out. I explained that they wouldn't need to come out if they had properly installed it to begin with, but that didn't matter to Rick. He would not take responsibility. I had some choice words for him as he did for me. I HIGHLY suggest avoiding this company unless you enjoy being treated horribly.

Cleaning went well. They found my boiler casing had a crack. Their replacement solutions were on the expensive side. Had to hire another company who did 40% lesser than R&W cost.

I have been using Rand W for the last 2 1/2 years for HVAC maintenance. My first experience with them was shortly after purchasing my house when the oil pump on my boiler stopped working and we lost hot water. I contacted them because the previous owners had used them and didn't have many options at the time. Having provided service for the previous owners they had all the history on what had been done (and more importantly what maintenance the previous owners had neglected). I have used them ever since for annual boiler cleanings and maintenance. The previous owners used the A/C heavily (when we bought the house the window screens were not installed) so we felt I was a good idea to have the units serviced. They were on-time and professional as always. Job took around an hour from start to finish and he technician verified that everything worked prior to leaving.

We have had isssues with this company for the last 4 years, They installed new boiler and we have had nothing but problems with it, The company excepts no blame for the problems, The owner has screamed at my wife in person and yelled at me over the phone. Bad company to deal with.

They screwed up my furnace. The furnace is only four years old; it is a brand new system. They came out just to do the annual maintenance, change the filters and do a cleaning on it. The system was running perfect before they came. All of a sudden after the repair man left, I noticed that it wasn't working and I had to call him back. They came back about four hours later. There was no heat and hot water for my kids and my wife on a cold winter day. The man that came said that the repair man who came earlier screwed it up and that he didn't adjust the airflow properly. He went off and came the next day to replace the modulator on it because it was sending a spark. It wasn't firing up because the airflow was wrong on it. When I called them, they didn't want to work with me whatsoever. I told them that I do understand that things do happen. I asked them to work with me on the labor and that I would pay for the part. They didn't agree. They were very rude and argumentative. I even filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and they didn't even want to work anything out. They were rude to my wife too.

As described above, they did a great job. I have had these guys cleaning and repairing my old boiler for a couple of years. compared to previous heating technicians, these guys are nice, clean, and (comparatively speaking) the Rhodes Scholars of the home heating world. They keep up with the industry and do a great job each time.

They did a good job BUT ripped me off by trying to charge me $153.70 instead of $75 that was promised. This company preformed a bait and switch on me and I am still trying to resolve this but they are very unco-operative
Response from R & W Heating Energy Solutions LLC
"The price of $153.70 was our regular rate at the time, however there was a state program running - Clean, Test, and Tune - that provided funding for homeowners to have their annual maintenance performed. With this program, the maintenance only cost $75 plus tax, until funds were no longer available. Regardless of how soon in advance any customer were to schedule their appointment, unfortunately, we had no control over when funds would run out, nor was there any way of knowing when they would run out. While every customer was told about the program and given the special pricing of $75 plus tax, we also made sure customers knew there were limited funds and the price could change at any time."
