Technician arrived at appointed time, performed service quickly and efficiently, cleaned up thoroughly.

Mike McCarthy from McCarthy Heating Oil Service returned my call within couple of hours of my calling the office to arrange an appointment to get an estimate. The appointment was scheduled for the following day. Mike was accompanied by a work colleague; together they measured walls and counted the number of doors and windows. Mike was through, he sat with me to explain how the Mr. Slim system works, the difference between the cooling/heating ductless system versus just the cooling system, how much maintenance the units need, how the units are installed on the wall and how long the installation would take. Mike and his crew took less time than projected to install a total of four wall units and the pump. Each time Mike came to my home he was on time, personal and professional. He and his team left my home, inside and outside, neat and clean at the end of each work day. We had our own electrician do the electrical hook-up but McCarthy’s has the name of an electrician they use, had I not had my own. After the system had electricity Mike returned on July 4th (yes, on the holiday) to test each unit and to show me how to use the remote controls and the specifics of the units. I would gladly recommend McCarthy. They were great to work and did great work!
I have to say I had gotten an estimate from a different company who suggested installing much larger units at a cost of about four thousand dollars more than McCarthy's (note, the other company only eyeballed the walls and doors, they took no measurements). I ran my Mr. Slim AC constantly through the awful, hot and humid weather we had this past July. I had the fan on low - medium and my home was cool and dry. I clearly didn't need bigger, more costly units suggested by the other company. Due to the measurements taken by Mike I feel McCarthy installed the correct sized system for my home which saved me money.

The Mitsubishi system says they are whisper quiet and it's true, you cannot hear the units running. I am running the basement unit on its dehumidifier option. I am extremely pleased with the system and how McCarthy installed it.
