Mike assisted in picking out an appropriate shower door for a bathroom in our house. Mike installed it in the time frame requested. It looks great and works great!

Mike was punctual and attentive to what I requested for a new kitchen window. Mike installed it the day I requested, in the fall last year. It looks great!

At the start of it I kept trying to keep an open mind to how they were doing things but they came and went without communication. The end of day was a big curiosity... some people work until later hours but they'd leave and I'd not know when they were coming back. I'd left my days pretty empty and this took about a week or so. They didn't pull a permit for the work where they suspended my house with scaffolding and took out a corner of my house (about 12 linear feet) and cut all the wood out and replaced it with concrete. But, in the process of demolition, they cut electrical wires and they ended up breaking the water main coming into my house that goes through the concrete floor. They fixed it but it's still leaking and that's one of the primary issues that I'm trying to get resolved. They came and went and there were parts of the house that I had to go back and seal up with foam because they ran out materials and instead of getting more supplies they left it to me. There were quite a number of issues but the biggest one is that, while trying to get a hold of the owner I could not get a response and could not even leave him a voicemail as his inbox was not set up.

Mike showed up on time and got right to work.  My second story was higher than his ladder could reach, so he asked if he could return on Sunday with a bigger ladder to finish it up, which was good with me.  Also, there was one tricky area to get at and he said he would have his brother come and help him and got the job done.

Rot was too extensive to save door frame. Has replaced sliding glass door, and will return to complete trim work.

"If the Angie's List Big Deal was not clear on the matter of materials cost being the responsibility of the customer, I will be sure that It does in the future. The price of $109 for 4 hours works out to $27.25 per hour of which I cover insurance, licensing, fuel, and consumables (blades, brushes etc...). I feel this is an exceptional value."

"Thank you for your input and I am concerned that you were unhappy with the service provided. I checked my notes from January and as I recall the following items were accomplished Patching of 2 holes in drywall. Re-attach storm door closer (the door case was damaged due to multiple screws pulling out) Install 2 blinds Install 3 Curtin rods (I'm unsure how these were broken but if the screws pulled out I would be willing to re-install) Install under cabinet lights Put jammed drawer back on track Install electronic door lock (a complex installation) Started installation of garage shelf (I informed the customer that I would be unable to complete in the 6 hours that was prepaid, and that if they wanted me to complete it there would be an additional charge which they declined.) I believe this to be a high value for 6 hours."

The lights in the foyer were a little tricky to reach, but ECR had the proper equipment on hand. The old lights were taken down and the new ones installed pretty quickly. The garage shelves were taken down neatly, and all debris was removed. ECR was pleasant to work with, and very knowledgeable about the work performed.

I had a long list of items that I wanted done.  I did not think Mike could do them all in the 6 hours scheduled.  When Mike arrived he got right down to business and went from one task to another.  He was efficient and very professional, he did not waste time like many hourly workers do.  Everything was completed to my complete satisfaction.  I could not say enough about how happy I am with  his work.  I would highly recommend him.  I did not have anything too difficult for him to do but I am quite certain that he would be able to handle almost any job that I needed.  I will definitely call him again and will be sharing his name and telephone number with my friends and neighbors.

On the first day, Mike installed the vanity, counter top, and faucet. After he left, I discovered that the drain pipe was leaking and the lift rod (the lever that goes up and down to control the sink plug) wasn't working. I called immediately, while he was still on the road, and he returned to fix the leak.  He fixed that, then left and returned the next day to finish the job. He returned on time and worked on the faucet again. He finished what he was doing, and the lift rod still didn't work. He suggested I contact the faucet manufacturer for a replacement lift rod.

When he left, the lift rod wasn't working. The caulking at the top of the backsplash was poorly applied and lumpy, with splotches all over. The hoses and wires under the sink were a tangled mess. He left behind dirty footprints and fingerprints.  When I called him to point out the problems, he said that I was satisfied when he left. Actually, I wasn't satisfied, but wanted to avoid confrontation. Plus, I didn't have time to do a more thorough inspection. I asked for half my money back; he offered $50. back, which I settled for.

That $50. doesn't nearly cover what it cost me to hire a real plumber to remedy the lift rod and hose issues. I regret buying this deal.

Mike is a very nice man. It's unfortunate that he can't produce quality work.

Mike was great. He came out before the job to view the garage and provide a list of materials for purchase.  On the day of the job, he met my fiancé and I at the Home Depot to pick up materials.  He then worked all day removing, installing, and painting clapboards on the detached garage and sealed the garage with wood board.  I think the costs of his services was very reasonable.  I would recommend him.

Mike arrived on time and got right to work. He cleared and removed the attic floor in preparation for blown in insulation to be done on a later date. He also ran several electrical lines, leaving them properly marked for the electrician to connect, removed old wires and removed an old built in counter and shelving area. He did a great job, cleaned up the work area, and finished everything sooner than expected. He even helped with several smaller items that needed attention before leaving.
Mike impressed me right from the start. He LISTENED to what I was looking to have accomplished, he understood what was required and didn't waste any time. I will be having Mike back to do more work for us.

Mike initially showed up on a day when it was pouring.  He went around the house and took inventory of the wood trim that needed replacement and gave me a list of the materials needed to do the job.  He showed up on time and was very friendly.  He made an appointment to do the work and kept to it.  We are very happy with the final result!

I had several vertical wood boards running down from 2 story peak that were rotting and needed replacement. Mike communicated well via email and showed up promptly at the scheduled time. We discussed job needs and he quickly set up to tear out old material and nail in new vinyl boards that I purchased in advance. (This was the requirement of Mike's Angies List Big Deal , which was a great service and good value) .
Job was done quickly and efficiently, and debris cleaned up completely. Nice job all around. Very satisfied customer. I would definitely use his company again.

Mike was on time and got immediately to work. He is very friendly and knowledgeable. I had some gutters on the my house that had not been properly installed many years ago and Mike was able to fix them to save me the cost of replacing them. A section of my garage siding had warped and was pulling away. Mike took it off and refit it properly so that it now looks like new.
He also allowed me to pick his brain about some projects I am currently doing around the house and gave me some excellent tips and advice.
I have some other projects that need to be done and will definitely be using his services again.
Response from Eastern CT Residential
"Thank You for the Review. I enjoyed getting your job accomplished and look forward to being considered for future projects. Fall is the time to protect your house from water damage by getting your gutters cleaned and repaired."
