Washington Concrete Products
About us
Washington Concrete Products, Inc., was founded in 1960 by R. Malcolm Sewell. Originally as a small cement block manufacturer and mobile home skirting company located in Plainville, CT. As time went on, Malcolm realized there was a need for Pre-Cast steps and Hatchways as opposed to the single tread units they had been making. In 1970 Richard joined his father Malcolm. Together they revamped the product line to include Pre-Cast concrete steps and Perm Entry basement entry systems, as well as, entering into the patio paver market. Additional products were gradually added which included parking curbs, concrete benches and tables, surveyor monuments, bird baths, planters, and lintels. In 1997, Jason, Richard's son joined them, and Washington Concrete is now in its 4th generation of family ownership. We now carry an extensive variety of pavers, modular retaining wall products, and slab products from several manufacturers and have one of the largest inventories and displays in the area. Stop by and see our 10,000 square foot display featuring dozens of paver styles, more than 20 retaining wall products, and hundreds of color combinations. We are a family owned and operated business for over 50 years and we look forward to helping you with all of your Pre-Cast concrete needs.

"Please enter what you would like the response to look like:This man, [Member Name Removed], [Member Information Removed], is not our customer. He is the customer of a contractor who purchases from us. However, when he called, we attempted to talk to him to explain the situation. This mans arrogance started almost immediately after he told me who he was. It became quite clear that he didn't care what the situation was, regarding why the truck was late arriving at our facility, that contained the material his contractor needed to complete his job. There are 14-16 pallets on a typical truck, many people are affected when there's a delay. He didn't care, he was loud and sarcastic with everything he was saying and asking during his phone call. We had already explained to the contractor the situation regarding the delay. He understood, as these things are, unfortunately, something that we've all become accustomed to in the construction world, when dealing with trucking. So when the homeowner called, I explained the situation. I also explained that the contractor had already been made aware of the situation. Yet [Member Name Removed] persisted that he get a call from Richard. I told him I'd take a message, and have Richard call him. Needless to say, he was just as rude to Richard, and wouldn't listen to any level of reason regarding the situation. So today, in [Member Name Removed]'s narcissistic mind, must have felt that he need to have the last word. So he chose to write a review of us on every page he could find. Clearly in violation with many of those pages terms of service, as he's not even a customer of ours! So that was my response to the situation regarding [Member Name Removed]'s review. My name is Jason Sewell, is am the Vice President of Washington Concrete Prod. Inc. My email is [email protected] if anyone has any questions, and I have put the email address of [Member Name Removed]'s that he's leaving the reviews from, if anyone wants to ask him questions I'd imagine he'd love to hear form you. --Jason Sewell"
Washington arrived on schedule and was very professional.
Removed the old steps using a small crane, then cleaned up the area and installed to heavy steel "L" brackets into the foundation to secure the new steps.
After placing and leveling the new steps they cleaned up the area around the steps.
Overall I'm very happy with the work and new steps.
