SCOOTER CENTRALE

We dropped our scooter off on a Saturday and were told they wouldn't be able to get to it until the end of the week and they would call us with what they found out.  Two weeks go by with no phone call.  We called them and they told us what they found and said it was covered under the diagnostic fee.  They said we were due for an oil change and asked if we wanted them to do it, never mentioning the cost.  Mind you, I have always done my own oil changes for this scooter.  We figured since the scooter was there we may as well let them do it and save us some time.  We show up to pick up the scooter and they said our bill was $240!  When we asked how that was possible the lady read us items on the bill that were never even performed on the scooter.  Once she clarified and removed those charges the cost was still $157.28, FOR AN OIL CHANGE!!!  The lady tells me that it was a full service, so they changed the gear oil and cleaned the filter as well.  Give me a break!  The materials to do this job MIGHT cost $5, and the time to do it (as a do-it-yourselfer) is maybe 20 minutes, with most of that just waiting for the oil to drain.
This is robbery as far as I'm concerned.  It was our fault for not asking how much it cost prior to giving them the authorization to do it, but we never expected that they would be charging so much.  They do this because they are one of the only games in town and they can because people will pay it.  They are absolutely taking advantage of people and should be put out of business for such unethical practice.
They also broke our basket and refuse to acknowledge that.  We didn't take photos of the scooter before we left it with them, so it's their word (that clearly has no moral foundation) against ours, so of course we lose.
This is a horrible unethical business that is price-gouging, not-to-mention charging for things that aren't performed.  Make sure you check your bill before you pay it here because they will try to suck every penny out of you that they can.  Do not use their services if you can possibly avoid it.
