Arrived day and time as planned. Crew discussed what they thought best to do in terms of crabapple and red maple tree.  Dead hanging branch was added after front yard was finished.

Crew would trim different areas of trees and involve us in decisions as they went along to insure we were happy with the overall outcome and look of trees.

Cleanup was excellent; all debris was taken away and they cut removed limbs into logs and stacked.

Major job on dead hanging branch ( 15-20 feet) to bring it down.  Could not get bucket truck into the back yard so had to use ropes and ladders to bring the limb down.  Tough job done well and safely  

 

They showed up the promised day, were friendly, efficient and cleaned up all leaves and branches. Would not hesitate to call on them again.

Very satisfied.  They were able to come out to look at the job while I was at work and provide a reasonable quote.  We had some issues getting the job completed due to uncooperative weather and a damp yard but work was completed in a timely manner and we were happy with the job done.  They even ground out a couple extra little stumps on the side of the yard that weren't originally included in our quote.  Will likely use them again for any future tree work.

Tim and his crew did a fantastic job with the tree work in my yard. They were professional, prompt, and it was obvious they were experts in their field. 
They removed 2 trees and did stump grinding on 1.  They trimmed many large branches, from 7 trees, that were very high and some very close to my house.  Additionally, they trimmed back 8 medium-sized white pines along the boarder of my back yard. 
They rigged the large branches with ropes very specific ways, swinging them down safely with precision.  While Tim was cutting and surgically placing branches on the ground, the rest of the crew was chipping and cleaning up. 
3 trees were inaccessible from the bucket truck, due to my septic system being in the middle of my back yard.  Tim climbed those trees very high to handle the trimming.
My yard was thoroughly cleaned-up afterward and everything that was moved put back into place perfectly.  
I highly recommend Holcomb Tree, as they exceeded my expectations.

Excellent!  I had called a landscaper, who was recommending topping off my beautiful oak!  That would have killed it.  When I asked Holcomb what he recommended and I mentioned topping it off, he said "sure if you want to kill it".  That tree is beautiful and he did what it needed to keep it that way, removing only dead branches/limbs.  He trimmed my tulip tree, cut the top off of the dead elm and made my maple trees balanced again.  He even gave me free advice for pruning the virburnum that was damaged in the bad storm along with my maple trees.  Direct, no nonsense arborist.  He got to business with his help and they were in and out in less than 2 hours.  Brush clean up A++++.  Definitely recommend Holcomb!

Called for an estimate on taking down a HUGE PIne Tree.  Tim called and set up a time to come and look at the project.  Arrived right on schedule, thoroughly explained what he was going to do and submitted a quote on the spot.  Price was very much in line with a quote we received from another contractor last fall. The only reason it was not done last year is because after we signed a contract with another contractor he never showed up. It had nothing to do with the storms last fall.  We set up a date to do the work with Tim.  They arrived right on schedule.  I was told it would take 2 days to complete the job. They did 90 percent the first day and came back to grind the stump the following morning.  When I came home from work the second day, it was as though a tree had never been in that spot except for some mulch from grinding the stump that they very neatly spread over the area.  Most of the mulch was removed so I did not have to worry about what I was going to do with all that mulch. The area was completely clear of any branches, pine cones and debris.  They did an exceptional job with cutting down the tree and cleaning the area after.
I do have a few more trees that need to come down and when I am ready, I will call them again.  No need to shop around.  Their service cannot be beat.  They have proven  to be very professional, very neat and the price was reasonable.

Tim worked with one other person and was professional and courteous. They left a lot of wood for us to chop and remove ourselves, but that was the service we opted for. He only requested money once the job was complete, and was professional (for example, he provided a written estimate, mailed a bill, and documented when paid). I would use them again, I just hope we don't have to because tree cutting is expensive in general.

Tim Holcomb came to my home within 2 days of contacting him to provide an estimate for the work and provided an estimate on the spot.  Within a few days I chose to move ahead with Holcomb Tree and Tim provided a copy of his insurance certificate.  A few weeks later, Tim and his crew came to remove the tree.  They began around 9 AM and finished by 3PM.  Due to the location, a bucket truck could not be used, so they had to climb the tree and set up a rope haul system to lower the limbs as they cut them.  Holcomb Tree had all of the equipment needed for the job, and through the course of the work used 3 trucks to haul away the wood chips and a flatbed logging truck to remove tree trunk.
It was a tough job, but you wouldn't know it from watching how smoothly the work went.

Holcomb Tree was very responsive. He got back to me right away. He came out and gave us the quote. He was very prompt and very fair with it. The tree came down perfectly. There was no damage. He was awesome.

Holcomb Tree Service was excellent and I have never had any complaints about his work. They are very careful and licensed. They have all of the equipment and are highly qualified.

They are good. I have used them in the past. Their prices are lower than most other people around. They are reliable, too. They are the most reasonable compared to the other tree service companies in the area. They were a little busy, though. I think they were swamped. I will use them again in the future. 

This was the second time that we have used this service and we were once again very pleased with their work. They were very considerate of the neighbors property also. A Professional job and excellent clean up. We recommended Holcombs to my sister-in-law and they were very happy with the service they received also.

It went very well. I called them and they came and gave me an estimate in the early fall. We decided to do the work after the ground was frozen to lessen the impact that the trucks and cranes would have on the property. They spent time wiith me and my neighbor to let us know exactly where they would need to put the trucks and what we should expect. They had to avoid the septic system. They were very professional and went about their work. The trees came down first by removing all the limbs. The tallest tree was well above their 50 crane but they handled that as smoothly as the others. All the limbs were chipped. After all the limbs were down, they dropped the trunks in stages or pieces. The last day a big log truck came with its crane and hauled all the trunks away. They finished up by raking the entire area. They did a fantastic job and I would hire them again and recommend them to others.

It went well, especially considering the fact that others quoted prices that were twice as much.

When I first got home from work, I didn't even realize they had been there. There was no mess or anything to clean up. My husband said they were very professional. They charged exactly the price they quoted.

They were very tidy and very neat. They gave me an estimate before. It was solid and there were no changes. They came in when they said they would. They were responsive and professional. I would use them in the future because I have used them several times.

I WAS PLEASED WITH THEM. THEY DID A GOOD JOB. THEY DID EXACTLY WHAT THEY SAID THEY WERE GOING TO DO QUICKLY AND EFFICIENTLY. WE GOT DIFFERENT QUOTES, AND I THINK WE GOT A BETTER PRICE FROM THEM.

THIS IS A FATHER/SON BUSINESS THAT HAS BEEN AROUND FOR FORTY OR FIFTY YEARS. I WOULD DEFINITELY SAY THAT THEY ARE ONE OF THE BEST, AND THEY'RE REALLY BUSY, BECAUSE THEY GO ALL OVER.

I AM VERY FUSSY IF SOMEONE DOESN'T DO THE WORK HOW I WANT IT DONE. THEY DID IT JUST HOW WE WANTED IT. THE PRICE IS A SECONDARY THING FOR ME. THE QUALITY AND PROFESSIONALISM ALWAYS COMES FIRST.
