The initial estimate was 5 days, it took over 3 weeks of work with larges gaps in between. The hole was not correctly dug (it was the same size as the patio, and should have been 6-12" larger), the base material was not the correct type and the filler was the same as the base, also not correct. The patio show a great deal of heaving and displacement, the grass that was supposed to be replaced never was. the border brick were of the wrong type. I asked for reparations to be done in April 2009 (they stated that they stand by their work), they came out in July 2009 pulled up all the bricks and left it that way for 6 weeks. I finally concluded, after numerous emails, that no one was going to show up and hired another company to do the job correctly. I took many photos of the patio before it was torn up. I had 3 patio/stone companies come look at it and give estimates and tell me what was wrong with it. I paid approximately $1000 more than I would have with these other companies. And I was not told that this was their first patio until after the job was done (I was told they consulted another company for material and technique information.
