Knowing the importance of quality craftsmanship and construction is why we are building our business on a solid foundation of satisfied customers. We respect the trust we are given to work on someone’s home and are dedicated to delivering quality work on every job, in each home.
We hired Built Right after finding them at the CT Home Show. We researched the company for complaints/reviews. We got references from the company and spoke to them, they gave glowing reviews of the work. We signed a contract with them to renovate two bathrooms, which we were told would take 2-4 weeks to complete. It took 5 months. Throughout the job, major details that we discussed with the contractor were forgotten and things were not done as we requested. They wouldn't show up for days at a time and wouldn't tell us why. Poor worksmanship from the sub-contractors (noticed not always just by us, but also by other sub contractors hired by the company) at one point required all of the shower tile to be removed and replaced, because it was installed incorrectly. At one point the upstairs shower was pouring water through the floor into our downstairs bathroom. We called our contractor, who said he knew there was a leak, but didn't tell us because "he didn't want to worry us". It took two weeks of having to shower at a friends house for them to identify what was causing the leak and "fix it", after they told us numerous times it was fixed, when it was still leaking. Just this past weekend, we discovered the upstairs bathroom is still leaking, and is now damaging the ceiling in our bedroom below it. There are issues with the workmanship across the board, drywall is sanded poorly and grout is cracking in multiple places. The worst part of this situation is that I discovered today that the corporation is dissolved, so we may have no recourse. I hope that the owner doesn't just open another business under a different name, as we now know they have done in the past. Buyer beware. It's not always best to go with the least expensive quote, especially on major renovations.

Built Right NE left my home a complete disaster, didn't finish the job, broke the contract, and never tried to make things right! Major construction and design flaws were made (i.e. not flashing the chimney) which resulted in water damage to the inside of the home. There was an exorbitant amount of material and supplies delivered, making me question where the extra material landed when it was removed. When Brenner had money in hand for cabinets, granite, plumbing, and lighiting, she didn't come through and, instead, RAN. My suggestion: RUN!
Description of Work: The reason for my interaction with Built Right NE was to have a large (six figure) home renovation done. The reason I listed this posting as "Built Right NE, Bethaney Brenner D MD" is because it is stressed by the salespeople that the owner is a dentist in Burlington, CT. It is evident that the owner knows nothing about home renovations! This project was too much for Built Right NE to handle. I hope for the patient's sake, Brenner knows more about dentistry than she does about renovations. The employee turnover rate is very high; complaints were continually overheard about the owner's unfair/unethical business practices and unprofessionalism. My own observation with Bethaney Brenner was that she is the most money hungry person I have ever met!
