It went great! It was finished ahead of schedule. Workers were prompt and courteous. They called before arriving and worked very hard. They even worked on the weekend! The company owner started out with a great educational presentation, made sure we understood our options, scheduled us in right away, and came back to see us upon completion to make sure everything was done to our satisfaction. The crew did such a good job cleaning up that you wouldn’t even know they were there. I highly recommend this company! You can count on them! They deliver what they promise.

When we started with this project, we were happy and excited. We were looking for a metal roof for our mobile home. We contacted The Roofing Store, LLC as it is close by and seemed to have a good reputation. The salesman came to our home, showed and explained to us the two different types of metal roofing that they had. He also went over all of the work that would be done to our home. He then said he would be back with a quote. When he came back with the quote, he had a new type of metal roofing which is made by the Amish. We were very happy with that because the Amish are know for their quality of work. Choosing this material also allowed for our home to be done sooner. They did indeed show up sooner than we expected to work on our home. Again, we were happy. The first day of the job started making me uneasy. I should probably state here that we were told that the job should only take a day, a day and a half at most. A few hours into the work, I was asked where 2 of the vents on the roof went to. I told them the vents were in the bathrooms. As the work went on, I could hear comments about things not being done right and they were needing to fix them. These comments were making me uneasy about how well done this job was going to be. When the day was done, they did come to the door and tell me that they would be back to finish up tomorrow. Day 2. They did arrive on time and went to work. Not long into the day, one of them came to the door and asked if he could come in to see where the vent was in one of the bathrooms as they had accidentally covered it up. Not a warm and cozy feeling for me. I had to leave for awhile that day and they told me that they should be done by the end of the day. When I returned home, they were still working. Again, more comments were heard about having to "fix" things. The last comment I heard was that they needed more material to fix something and that they would do it tomorrow. They simply packed up and left without saying anything to me. Day 3. They did arrive in the morning. They worked about four hours and then told us that the job was done. We had been assured several times that a magnetic sweep would be done to be sure that we would not find metal in the yard. We went outside to admire our new roof. I saw right away that one of the panels did not look screwed down, it was up higher than the rest. Concern really started entering our minds. About an hour or so later, the foreman came to pick up some ladders that were left here (he was not here on the job) and Steve showed him the panel we were concerned about. He said that it definitely wasn't right. He had the guy that was with him get some tools and they both went up on the roof. I would say that they were up there close to an hour fixing things. When they were done on the roof they told us we were all set now. We felt better about our concerns but still uneasy. After they left, we started doing our yard work such as cutting the grass and so on. This work came to a screeching halt. We started finding Screws, staples and other little pieces of metal in the yard. Finding a few of these things would have been acceptable but we found so many that is appears that they never did do a metal sweep. I will be uploading a picture of all of the stuff we found. To give a little perspective, the metal pieces are on a standard size paper towel. The foreman came back a few days later with our paperwork and I showed him what we had found. He looked shocked and apologized profusely. Not good enough for us. Steve called the salesman and explained our displeasure. The salesman seemed to be truly concerned said that he was going to send someone back to double check the roof and send a small check to compensate us for our time and efforts in cleaning up the mess we should not have had to do. It has been a few weeks now and we have heard nothing. Steve has called him back and the salesman has not returned a call yet. It looks like we just got lip service. As a side note, Steve did get a staple in his foot just the other day after we thought it was all cleaned up. I would like to say that our roof looks very nice and we haven't found any leaks yet so we are hoping that over time, all will be well and it will stay that way. Seems like a good product but I would not recommend this company. Pam & Steve Rickell

Horrible. From the beginning I had a bad feeling. This project dates back about 2.5 years now. From the beginning there was no consistency and our project got bumped week after week after week. There always seemed to be an excuse. Obviously we understood the issue with weather conditions but this went well beyond this. The wrong metal sat on our side yard for well over a month, killing our grass. The initial crew had no concern for the siding on our home and haphazardly tossed pieces of siding on the lawn and into shrubs/bushes. They removed the shingles of roofing only to discover after the fact that the wrong metal was delivered to the house (which had been sitting in our yard for WEEKS). Our roof was tarped for weeks as we waited for the new metal to arrive. As a result, we had water damage in several rooms of our house. We called them each time we noticed water penetrating in the house and they would come out to evaluate the situation. Every time we thought the problem was resolved we would notice more water. They had to send a painter to our home 2 times to paint over the water stains and fix the damaged wood molding in our dining room. Our house was a mess for months. My husbands bike was stolen from our garage on their watch. The list goes on and on. When we called to complain we would request a call from the owner himself and it wasn't until we finally became irate over the phone that he called. We felt like we were not being listened to and blown off on more than one occasion. Months ago my husband put together a short list of things that needed to be addressed/completed including replacement of a long gutter that runs along the backside of the house that the crew broke. We were assured that if we did not like the patch job that they did, that they would replace the entire gutter. We requested for it to be replaced. In addition to the list, my husband asked that he be able to talk to the owner Mike to go over the list. The owner never took the time to call him. Instead, the day that they crew was supposed to come out to finish the tasks, they AGAIN were a no-show. Called to find out what happened and were told that the owner pulled them from the job as some of the items on the list were not covered by the contract. Again, if he had taken the time to call and go over the list, he would have known that anything not covered by the contract, we would have paid for. Called again to be placed back on the schedule the other day and a few hours after the fact we were sent an email essentially stating that they were no longer going to do any work and for all intents and purposes they were cutting themselves off from us. We were told by the owner himself that the house "would be left the way it was found." Now all of a sudden they were no longer going to make good on the damage THEY caused. Spoke with the answering service the same day we got the email and requested a call back from Mike the next day. Waited for his call and did not get one so we decided to call. Called from my husbands cell phone 3 times in a row and no one bothered to answer. Called from my cell (which they do not have on file) and they miraculously picked right up. It was very clear they were avoiding my husbands phone call. Requested to speak with Mike and put directly on hold. Mike picks up, we tell him we are upset and frustrated after receiving the email from the previous day indicating that they were no longer going to do any work on our home. He claims he had no knowledge of this. As we update him with who we are/what the project was he suddenly becomes extremely defensive, talking over us, and would not give us the courtesy of simply listening to us. He kept saying how his crew came out on several occasions "free of charge" and each time they came out they claimed the water leak/damage that we had into our home was not their fault. To which we replied, "we called you because each time there was a legitimate issue - water in our house that was damaging our ceilings and walls." He continued to claim this was not a result of them. We replied we had no water issues before they started the project. My husband also saw them patch a section that THEY had installed and this area was one of the spots where water was getting in. He refused to listen to us and to come to some sort of civil agreement. Rather, he was rude, unprofessional and completely unreasonable. We did not appreciate being yelled at, especially considering the time, money and stress that we went through over the past 2 years. So even after all this time, they have still not made good on fixing what they damaged. After doing some research, seems like other customers had very similar experiences. Also noted that some of their "5 star reviews" come from their own employees. HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND!

The roof looks great! Very happy I chose steel over asphalt. The company did an excellent job writing out exactly what they were going to do, and did everything they promised. Two minor complaints, however. The job dragged on for three weeks which was much too long, and the day to day clean up was not done well.  Three weeks was a long time to have scrap pieces of metal and other waste materials all over the lawn and driveway. The final cleanup was thorough, and satisfactory. The workers worked hard, were professional, and pleasant to have around. All and all, as construction jobs go, this project must be rated as a job well done. I will certainly recommend The Roofing Company to all that are looking for a new roof.

Overall, I would say it went  very well. The crew was extremely diligent, working long hours to complete the job. They cleaned up well. Sometimes the communication between the office and Mike, the owner wasn't as good as it could've been. Didn't seem like he got our messages at times.
I'm somewhat disappointed at  the appearance of the front of the house. The crew installed long, seamless strips of siding on the east side of the house, but not on the front. There are many places where seams are visible and there is one spot under the kitchen window that is crooked.
Summing up, my wife and I were very impressed with everyone's politeness and respectful nature in relating to us.

In my earlier review I reported that I was very pleased with the work done by The Roofing Store to replace our full roof. However, 4 months later we had our first snowfall. As it snowed, water began running freely through multiple areas in our ceiling! I called The Roofing Store and told Zach (the manager) of the problem, took pictures of the damage, and asked them to look at it asap. They came right over, saw the leaking in progress, took pictures and said they would get back to me. When they got back me I was told that it was "not unusual" to have leaks like this! (With a completely new roof???) I told them that I wanted this problem remedied and I wanted to be compensated for the damage to the ceiling and walls caused by the leaking. I did not hear from them again. A month later I called back and asked them what their plan was. They sent the same inspector, Ben, out again. By now the snow was gone. He climbed up on the roof, looked in the attic, took more pictures of the damage, and said that the owner, Mike, would get back to me. He never did. Several weeks passed and I contacted Zach again. I was informed that Ben had told them "we were all set"! I informed him that we certainly were NOT all set and I was waiting to hear from the owner about the damage and repairs as promised. They never called back. This matter is unresolved - but at this point I am VERY disappointed with the way The Roofing Store has handled this matter - after we paid $12,000 for a completely new roof that leaked during the first snow storm. I have not heard back from them since April.

Upon realizing that Mr [Member Name Removed] was having an issue, we sent a foreman out immediately to take the snow off the roof. The issue identified was ice dams. At this time we had multiple rain storms and multiple snow storms. The layers were stacking up. Upon evaluation of the roof. The gutters on the house were causing a backup where the roof lines meet in a corner. This is something that The Roofing Store could not have prevented. The gutter was installed incorrectly and this is what caused the back up to take place. Our Project Coordinator went to speak with Mr. Elliot and explain to him using photographs. He came to an understanding and saw how this could happen. We at the Roofing Store install all our roofs by trained professionals in accordance to our Gold Star rating with CertainTeed and their Installation specifications. The Roof was documented through the process with pictures detailing each step of the roof installation. Our project Coordinator showed Mr. Elliot pictures of the corner where the gutter caused the ice to back up. This area was stripped, the siding removed so proper flashing and Ice and Water could be installed. He saw this clearly. We at The Roofing Store have attempted to resolve this issue on multiple occasions and have resistance from the customer. The customer insists that this is our fault. We did not install the gutters on the home and could not have predicted that this would happen and offer our deepest apologies to the customer. We are still more than willing to help the consumer with these issues, however we must follow company policies and procedures in terms of servicing this issue. The Roofing Store takes pride in our customer so much, that during the installation of his roof, we fixed some of his siding as a courtesy ! We want our customers to be happy ! The roof took 2 full days to complete with up to 8 men working at once. At the end of each day they did a thorough clean up of the yard and area. The men worked hard and fast and were very professional. I pointed out a couple spots to be adjusted or cleaned and they quickly took care of my concerns. They replaced sheets of damaged plywood where needed and worked around four skylight windows. One of the workers noticed a defect in the vinyl siding (which I was already aware of). He then offered to fix it and quickly repaired the damaged sheet. I was VERY impressed. Our finished roof is beautiful and very well constructed. I am very pleased with the work and would certainly refer The Roofing Store to anyone!

They were very prompt. They worked from 8:00 am until after 7:30 pm. They were very neat in their work habits. The workers were pleasant and respectful.

We dealt with the owner and office staff to contract the work to be done. Within less than a week of signing the contract the work was completed.

From our first meeting with Mike (the owner), we felt very comfortable that we were dealing with a professional and a very honest businessman. We have not been disappointed...
From the beginning, the entire process has been great. Mike's crew was so very nice and helpful - they even washed the outside of my windows where the storms were going! Our house is over 250 years old and quite out of level. Installing was not an easy task, but these guys did a beautiful job. They left the job sight better than they found it.
I would most highly recommend Mike and his crew to anyone that needs home renovations that The Roofing Store covers.

We had a very bad roof leak in the kitchen.  We hired The Roofing Store to redo the roof.  They were prompt and worked very hard to get it all done in one day.  There was a miscommunication on one issue.  The bathroom fan vent was not installed properly, but once the owner Mike found out it was completely redone correctly the very next day!  We would recommend The Roofing Store!

We did have some additional quality issues when the job was done but The Roofing Store returned and immediately addressed every problem that was found at no additional cost.

Thank you Mike for bringing a crew in right away.  Things are looking great and I am pleased!!!

The estimator and job manager showed up on time for their visits. The actual workers were later than I expected the first day.
Unfortunately it started to rain before the first shed could be completed. The roof was sealed with Diamond Deck (an improved tarpaper) and did not leak. It's worth noting that if this was a house they probably would not have started given the weather forecast. The shed has nothing in it that would be damaged by a small leak so we decided to try to beat the rain.
Both sheds were completed the following day.
A small section of drip edge was cut wrong. This was corrected promptly the following day and the grounds were swept again with a magnet to pickup stray nails. One of the sheds is near a horse pasture so nails were major issue.
I did not comment of the price because I did not get additional bids. The job is done am I'm happy.
