I called a friend who is very fussy and meticulous about her home and she recommended two upholsterers.  I liked both of them but chose Heavens because he was a little less expensive in the beginning but as it turned out they both probably would have been the same cost.  John Heavens had not calculated into the original estimate, fixing the wooden frame, tying the springs and removing old rotted stuffing from the Sofa,  so this was an extra charge of $300 but this I considered fair for the amount of work he did and the result is the Sofa is very comfortable and will definitely last for years.   Upshot, he did an absolutely excellent job,  he was meticulous and very exacting in the way he matched the fabric which was a very busy pattern, same excellent workmanship on the loveseat and stool.    You have to be patient, though, as he does take his time, we gave him the Sofa on September 19th and he finished it on December 12th.  Love my Sofa and Loveseat  they are both gorgeous, so well worth the wait for such an excellent job.
