Bill performed an inspection of the septic system prior to us buying our current home. He performed a full inspection of the septic tanks, located the diffusers under the lawn and gave us an estimate of the system's condition and remaining life. He was *very* knowledgeable, professional and helpful. Since we were 'city kids' who had city sewers where we grew up, he made sure we understood what the system's layout and components were, such as the location, type, size and design of the septic tank, the location of the diverter boxes, the size/type/location of the diffusers and how the lawn was fuller and greener over the diffusers! He was able to interpret the drawings from the health department about the work performed on our system over the years. He even discovered a second, active tank that the owners did not know about and determined which drains in the house went to that tank. On that second tank, he told us that the tank cap was more than 12 inches underground and that we'd have to install a section to meet state health code, which he also did for us. Bill has been buying up septic tank service companies over the years, so if you work with a septic service in south central CT, there are good odds that you are working with one of his companies. Having met him in person, I would not do business with anyone else and would heartily recommend him to anyone!
