"Thank you Bill!"
"Thank you for the awesome before and after pictures."
"Thank you [Member Name Removed] for the nice review we appreciate your business and thank you for your referrals"
"Thank you [Member Name Removed] for the kind words, we appreciate your business."
With the backsplash, Mike took back tiles without complaint after my wife was unhappy with the look. The installers did a great job and immediately responded when we pointed out a concern.
At all times Mike and his daughter acted with the highest level of professionalism. Mike was at all times very patient and courteous as we selected various materials. It was also helpful that Floordecor is an actual store where you could look at various selections. Overall, I would most highly recommend Floordecor for any type of flooring or tile installation.
"Thank you for the nice words. We are happy you like your new floors and back splash. Thank you for you order we appreciate your business."
This is the second time I have used Floor Décor for my flooring needs - but it certainly won't be the last. Working with all the Floor Décor staff was a very positive and stress-free experience. Both Janine and Michael made the carpet selection process very easy by listening to my requirements and concerns and offering many alternatives that met my needs completely. After I chose my carpeting, they very clearly explained the time line for both ordering and installation so I could plan accordingly. They kept me informed along the way and the installation took place as scheduled. The gentlemen installing the carpet were a joy to work with. They arrived on time, worked efficiently, and were very pleasant. Most importantly, their workmanship was outstanding and the outcome was perfection. I was completely satisfied with my entire Floor Décor experience.
"Unfortunately Mr [Member Name Removed] is not a well person. He forgot he reviewed us back on 7/25/12 for the work we did for him on 7/19/12. He gave us an overall rating of B. He gave us 3 "A's" in other categories but a "C" for price. He goes on to say the floors look awesome and the installers were professional and did a great job. His complaint was the price was higher than Empire who he gave a deposit to then cancelled because he didn't think they could do a good job. I explained to Mr. [Member Name Removed] cheap labor isn't quality and quality labor isn't cheap. No one forced him to purchase our services it was his own decision. Poor Mr [Member Name Removed], we feel sorry for you going through life the way you have to being someone like yourself. By the way we fired Mr [Member Name Removed] from our customer base and he is no longer able to purchase awesome floors or professional installations from us."
The first thing I did was I went to one of the big box stores, and luckily, the floor I picked was discontinued. They charged me, and never kept contact with me. It took them several weeks to let me know that the floor I ordered wasn't being made anymore. Then they had chosen the wrong under layer to place under the floor. I highly doubt they could have EVER delivered the results of Floor Decor. I went looking for a place to find a floor that could be installed in my kitchen, because the floor became dangerous and not really usable anymore. I went to several places BEFORE I found Floor Decor, and Michael Phoenix and Janine back in the Summer of 2008. I was first greeted by a young lady named Janine, and her Golden Retriever Buddy on the Post Road that USED TO BE next to Porch and Patio in Orange, Connecticut. I don't want to leave out the Beautiful and Friendly Golden Retriever! (Sadly Buddy is no longer with us.)

When I first walked in, Janine came over to help me out. What a smart, lovely, and beautiful lady this is! Extremely knowledgeable and caring about this flooring business. She looks young to me, but make no mistake, this woman is as brilliant as Michael Phoenix is. I worked with Janine from the beginning, and to reassure myself over this large sale, and to make sure everything was right, I still had to ask Michael about the details of what I had worked out with Janine. Well once again, she was right on the mark! This family is delightful. I also love the dog. Buddy is absolutely a Sweetheart. Of course I go to the store to visit the dog sometimes, but I go here because this is the BEST place to go if you want flooring or carpeting. Their selection is so varied, I am honest and letting you know that there are several choices that I liked, so because there are so many nice choices, I am always choosy customer, and like to see everything. I was lucky that they were so patient with me so that I can make the right decision. I asked if I could have a Cherry Bronze Laminate, and both Michael and Janine said that this type of floor would work in my kitchen! YESSSSSSSSSS!

Let me tell you something. If and when I buy flooring or carpet again, this is the ONLY store that I would ever go to. I have had 2 installers, that were absolutely incredible. They were neat, efficient, friendly, and did the job the way it was supposed to be, and EXACTLY the way I wanted it. I told them that this is an extremely difficult job, because our builder had taken shortcuts when this floor was built, and it had a large slant and was actually not flush. Large tiles that are not flush, makes us keep stubbing our toes and scratch up our feet. Not to mention that we even tripped several times. The floor was built horribly rushed, and since there was no excuse for that, we had to suffer for 11 years with a floor that was a disgrace because this was a brand new house. It was built from the ground. Michael Phoenix had let me know that he could fix this problem. I told him that I don't want to be mean, but I don't feel you are going to be able to tackle this type of problem to straighten out THIS floor as to where it could ever be flat and smooth the way it should be. He told me, rest assured, I have some workers on my crew that could do just that. "You are going to love your floor when it is finished." I still had very hefty doubts about that, but he was totally correct. To this day, I still don't believe how beautiful this job came out, especially with these circumstances. I asked him, "how in the world did you do this?" I still look at the floor with the same happiness and agility I had from the first day it was installed. The two men that I had worked at the perfect pace, by concentrating on just the floor. They did not rush the job, nor did they work too slow. It took exactly 2 days to do this kitchen floor. I was told it would take between 1-2 days. Since this was my first time hiring Floor Decor, I didn't know exactly what to expect. I figured that if it took two days, they would lose money. This wasn't even a consideration. This crew that I was given, was incredible. That kitchen floor was some big job to do. I have a very large kitchen which is 400.52 feet. Well, it's a large kitchen to me anyway. I remember that these 2 men were working so hard, that they are not big on breaks. I don't care how long people take breaks, as long as the work comes out well. It certainly did. When I get more work done on my home, (always money problems, never have enough), I told Michael that I want the same crew if they are still here.

I don't think anyone in this world manages better than Michael Phoenix, in the ever dreaded use of the "tape measure" either. He is just a Genius, and Super-Brilliant with this task.
I have had workers all of my life in many different aspects in the work environment, apartments and houses from friends and family, but have NEVER seen anyone, have the measurements so to the mark of exactness. No wasted materials. Of course, he let me keep all extra flooring. I never needed it, this floor stood up to some serious works-in-progress. I am a Baker, and I have put these floors to the test. I have two dogs. This floor stood up to the wear and tear of German Shepherds. The floor looks as beautiful as the first day they were put in.

Trust me, I have had OTHER floor measuring estimates BEFORE I found my forever flooring / carpet store, and I actually asked one of the stores NOT to not call me again, and I let him know on the spot that I felt he cheated us on measurements by over 30 square feet. You know how I know? Floor Decor was over 30 square feet less in measurements. This other man was lazy, very hurried, and was reluctant to answer our questions. It was very apparent that he didn't bend down enough under the furniture. He was holding the tape measure a few feet in the air, and at a very large slant. He was measuring almost corner to corner, and not in a straight line. I absolutely let him know that I was not interested in his flooring services, and that I didn't want to be contacted again. If we sound grateful and happy with this all-around perfect flooring job, and Floor Decor we are EXTREMELY HAPPY. My ONLY REGRET, IS NOT FINDING FLOOR DECOR FIRST, WITHOUT ALL OF THE DRAMA AND HYPE that other stores have given me in the past. These other stores could not deliver even close to what Michael Phoenix and his crew has done for our home and for us. I always say, "I wished I had found Floor Decor first." That would have been ideal. I am going to call and go to their store again when I am ready for carpeting in as many rooms as I could afford. "FLOOR DECOR, IF EVERY BUSINESS TRANSACTION AND WORK WOULD BE AS GOOD AS YOURS, THERE WOULD BE NO PROBLEM WITH HIRING THE BEST!" It's just too bad that I am not sure of all businesses with this much Faith. Even though I consider both Michael and Janine friends of mine, we continue to have a great business relationship. If you want THE BEST, these guys are;
1) Accurate
2) Neat
3) Efficient
4) Prompt
5) Knowledgeable
6) Friendly
7) Consistent
8) Not Happ
Ernest and his assistant were polite and considerate, as well as careful and neat. It was necessary to shift some furniture, and they did so with great care. When the job was finished, all furniture had been returned to its place.
My project was completed on schedule and on budget. All of the people at Floor Décor were polite, responsive, and knowledgeable. I highly recommend this company. I plan to use their services again.
"This member appears to be very happy with service, quality, installation, our responsiveness and professionalism. Gave us "C" which is average, only in price category. I think most people would agree doing everything else at an "A" level would mean it's not going to be the lowest price. He forgot to say he originally placed his order with Empire Carpet but was not comfortable with them. After investigating he saw our excellent rating on Angie's list called us. After an in home meeting with the client where we showed what turns out to be a better product they decided to cancel their order with Empire and place their order with us. When he cancelled his order with Empire they told him they would lower their price to meet our price plus include the moving of furniture. My question is why didn't Empire offer them the right price in the beginning? My other question is did he forget all about this? Low price does not mean a good value. A good value is when you score an "A" in all the categories that that are important to a quality product and installation. That being said we greatly appreciate his business and look forward to doing business again with him as well as with his friends and family."
