Company gave me an estimate to completely clean, edge, weed, and mulch beds, then charge me nearly double the price they quoted. $2k vs $4k. Not a small amount of money. They should have told me before starting that conditions or extent of work had changed and that the price would be different from what they estimated instead of just going ahead with the work and billing me so much more. It felt like a bait and switch, especially as I had another similar estimate for the same work that I feel would have come in as quoted. Won’t use them again.

They pretty much ripped up the weeds that were there, added some soil and they thought it would work seeding it.  They also put in some beds around the yard.  To be honest I dont think they put in enough soil.  We followed all the directions with watering, etc and half of it turned to crab grass.  I talked to the owner of the company and asked him to come out and look at it.  I haven't heard back from him, he may have been here and just not called me yet.  Basically, we were disappointed in the outcome. They also did a yard clean up first, they did a fairly good job of that but they pruned back some bushes but hacked some of them.  I'm not a happy camper.  If he comes back to us and tells us how much it will cost to have it redone I'll laugh at him, he already knows I'm not satisfied with how it turned out.
