I called at 6:45 am and they showed up at 7:20am. He diagnosed the problem as a blockage to the septic system - something he couldn’t fix and told me to call my septic guy. Then he wouldn’t accept payment. Unbelievable service A+. PS the septic guy came mid day and fixed the problem

I must say, the best plumbers I've ever worked with. They were on time & professional and very respectful of my home. The price came in under the estimate and was finished ahead of schedule. These are the BEST plumbers in the Old Saybrook area.....very fast & most of all very fair! I will definitely use them again & highly recommend them for any of your plumbing needs.

Karl was prompt in coming to my home and immediately shut off the water to the burst pipe.  He was very professional and I will definitely call him in the Spring to fix the burst pipe and for any other plumbing work.

It went great. Karl actually saved us money by recommending a cheaper alternative. There was a leak that required him to dig down the side of the foundation. Did a great job too.

Karl is probably one of the last old school plumbers left on the CT shoreline. We have had him do work at our home a number of times and each time he arrives at the time he promises, he arrives with the proper supplies and equipment needed to complete the job and he is a professional that will only do the right thing with the job he has been asked to do.

Great. Responsive, attentive, careful and fast.

He arrived promptly at 8am which I appreciated. He recognized my home because he been there years earlier (three owners ago) so he was familiar with the basic plumbing layout, even though there were many upgrades done over the years.
He promptly began to work, and at first we had difficulty finding the leak in the sink, isn't that always the way? But finally he saw where it was loose under the sink where my husband had installed it, and he also noticed a piece missing from the top that should have been attached near the drain.I asked him to replace the whole piece to ensure no future problems, which he did. There was also a popping sound in my faucet which he explained was a defect in my faucet, which he explained I should call the company I purchased it from and they could send me a replacement part/unit. He also explained that the popping may stop on its own, as the faucet is brand new and once it gets broken in the parts may settle in. Sure enough, by the end of his visit, the popping had stopped.
He then addressed my toilet issue, which keeps running. I thought I would have to replace the entire innards of the toilet (for lack of a better term) but he told me it was only the seal inside that was warped and that I could return the parts I had bought to install, he had the little seal on his truck. He quickly installed it and yeah, no more leak!
Throughout the appointment he was professional, personable, and respectful. I highly recommend Breitenbach Plumbing and when I put my house up for sale this spring, I will be recommending this company to the new owners.

They do what they say they are going to do in the time that they say they are going to do it. I will absolutely use them again in the future. I have used them for 20 years.

Even though he was on vacation, Karl Breitenbach gave me a call back the day I first left a message. He moved up the day for my appointment when my leak went from damp to dripping. He called when he thought he would be a few minutes late, but he showed up on time. He quickly identified the leak and took care of it. I was billed by mail, and the price was very reasonable. Definitely a plumber to call on when you need one.

Karl, the plumber was courteous, prompt, personable and kind. Efficient, neat and excited about his field. Karl brings the newest technologies to bear on each job; often saving the client, time, aggravation, and money.

My afternoon call on January 29 was returned early next morning. Karl had an afternoon appointment, but could come early if o.k. He arrived when he said he would. He was pleasant, amazing in his knowledge and workmanship, left no mess. Problem solved. Certainly I would recommend Breitenbach Plumbing without reservation.

Suspected a leaking toilet from 2nd floor was causing a downstairs leak. A friend recommended this plumber, I called him and he returned my call within 24 hours. He left a message on my machine with a time and date he could come (2 days later). I returned the call and left message saying suggested time was great. He arrived promptly wiped his feet upon entering the house. He diagnosed the problem, fixed what he could and suggested calling a roofer for the part he could not fix. The whole job took him an hour, so he only charged me the cost of a basic service call.
