ZELEK ELECTRIC CO INC

Got three estimates for the job: $500 from Zelek; $750 from a free-lance electrician in the neighborhood; and $1,601.75 from TopNotch in Deep River!  I chose Zelek, not only because of the price, but also because of the professionalism, patience, and politeness Ray Zelek exhibited.  This was a really busy time on the shoreline, so I had to wait a little longer than I would have liked, but he set a reasonable date and adhered to it.  I was not present when the job was finished, and I was a little disappointed that the wires appeared more conspicuous than they needed to be, but I had power at last!  I called the Zelek office and asked if Ray could stop by when he was in the vicinity and see if anything could be done to make the job a bit more aesthetically pleasing.  I didn't really expect to hear back from them but, sure enough,a couple of days later the office called back to say that Ray felt that it could be spruced up and he would take care of it.  That was my first pleasant surprise.  The second was that the bill came to only $450!  I'll be sure to in the future.for all my electrical needs.

Ray Zelek performed a thorough inspection and offered two alternatives for connecting our generator, which is in the garage, to our main electric panel, which is at the opposite end of the house, approximately 80 feet away.  We agreed on a plan and he returned about a week later with Derek, one of his electricians.  Ray showed Derek what needed to be done and left.  Derek worked for two days on the generator wiring issue (which was complicated by the fact that the wiring had to pass through about a 10 foot wide area of inaccessible "dead space" between our garage and house).  He then connected the wiring for the tankless hot water heater and the photoelectric cell for the outdoor lights.  Derek did a meticulous, professional job, despite several significant obstacles.  In the end, his work exceeded my expectations.

They are very prompt and do what they say they'll do. Pricing is fair and there is never anything unexpected. We will automatically call them because they provide good service.

Mr. Zelec provided an excellent estimate for this work, and he was very helpful in suggesting ways in which to minimize the cost of the work, while still meeting our needs. Final bill was below his estimate. I highly recommend this company to anyone who needs professional electrical work that is completed quickly and within or below their estimate.

The price quoted was the price originally $3400. The actual cost was less. The written quote provided accurately outlined work to be performed. A down payment of 1/2 was required at the acceptance of the proposal, the balance due in 30 days. The electrician who provided the service was informative and accommodating as the work required the periodic termination of electrical power to house. The generator was a brand new model from Kohler and had some initial clich s, which the electrician via phone calls to the company was able to resolve. In addition the company recommended and installed surge protectors on the transfer switch. These protect the entire house. Once the install was completed he provided a through-al explanation of how the system would work and demonstrated its operation as well.
