Erik N. Olsen Home Improvement was wonderful to work with! Interaction with the subcontractors was smooth, there were no and quot;misunderstandingsand quot; he understood exactly what I was looking for. A contract was worked out whereby I paid him for the service and purchased my own cabinets, tile, plumbing etc. It was exactly what I wanted. He was able to provide the plumber, electrician and mason and HVAC subcontractor. I felt completely comfortable with him having access to my home.
I like to think outside the box and was able to bounce what some contractors might think of as outlandish ideas off him and he took everything in stride. I was able to ask his advice on finish selections regarding style and quality. I was always treated respectfully and never patronized. A big difference from my last contractor! My husband never had to get involved, which was exactly what he wanted! Erik made sure to keep the disruption to the rest of the house to a minimum, he cleaned up daily after himself and his crew. He even re-arranged my things in the garage so as to keep the area organized. He consistently showed up and worked on my project and was considerate when it came to noise and driveway access. There was no starting at 7 am while my husband was trying to get to work and I was getting the kids out the door for school! (that was what we wanted) I loved that I could make some changes and the words out of Erik's mouth was and quot;sure we can do thatand quot;, rather than... I will have to make a change order and it will cost you more!
Erik went above and beyond when a puddle developed in the basement. He stopped what he was doing and searched for the source of the problem. It ended up being a leak in the humidifier which had nothing to do with his work. As my husband was out of town at the time I was grateful that I didn't have to try to find someone to come in and fix it. We were able to turn the humidifier off, my husband fixed it when he returned.
The project is still underway it is about half way done, I will come back and add to this review.

Update: I am so glad that I chose Erik for my project! His work is meticulous, carefully constructed and executed. The changes that I made ended up being very time consuming but the end result is beautiful! He put a lot of thought into solving the issues that arose thereby saving me money and allowing me to still get what I wanted. Again, I cannot emphasize enough how wonderful it is to work with a contractor who takes things in stride and endeavors to satisfy the customer!
