Owner came with two helpers (3 guys for a job he knew was super small and simple). He was prompt, friendly, gave me some good tips. All 3 left to get valves, his two helpers came back a little while later to install (i.e. literally unscrew old vent, put on new one, no tools required). Took under 20 minutes. Service was fine from that stand point. My gripe is that I was billed over $500+?! When I called to politely inquire he was rude about it, raised his voice, said that was the bill, he doesn't negotiate, "he doesn't work for free", unapologetic, unwilling to offer an explanation of this clear case of gouging. I believe in fairness, but $500 is clearly price gouging and not a good way to earn someone's business. Clearly he doesn't care.

He came to the house quite promptly. He tightened a few parts and said to call him if it started leaking again. He thought it would need a new cartridge and would order it for me. He was at the house no more than 15-20 minutes and did not replace the screw in the handle. The faucet started leaking the next time I used it so I called. I never heard back. I discovered that the hose is leaking in several spots. $135 for 15 minutes and the wrong diagnosis.

Because this company has been in business for 90 years they seem to believe that business today doesn't matter. The owner of the company, Tim Palmer called me to try and work things out. After I questioned him on the charge for the estimate, he became extremely annoyed. He explained that I somehow should have known that there is a difference between an estimate and a service call. He rudely continued that even though, no work was performed, I would be responsible for the one hour service call. When I gave him the example of requesting an estimate for carpentry work, which is always free since one needs to know how much the work is going to cost before proceeding, he became enraged and called me a "M#%$F$#@cker and explained that he didn't need the business and hung up the phone. So, in the end, I called SP Palmer and Sons Plumbing to see when they could fix my plumbing and how much it will cost me. In the end, I get a $128 bill for a 20 minute visit with zero work done. A great value. I would recommend everyone to stay away from this unprofessional and rude business. I am just happy that this happened before I hired them to do the job. I have hired another plumber to do this work. Terrible experience.

THEY CAME IN A BLINK OF A EYE, ALL WE HAVE TO DO IT POINT THEM TO THE DIRECTION AND THEY KNEW WHAT TO DO. THEY ALSO DID A WONDERFUL JOB IN CLEAN UP AFTER THEMSELVES.

S. P. PALMER AND SONS DID A GREAT JOB SERVICING OUR NEEDS. THEY WERE PROMPT ABOUT REMOVING AND REPLACING A FAULTY TOILET BOWL. THE SERVICEMAN WAS COURTEOUS AND EFFICIENT.

THE OVERALL EXPERIENCE WAS GREAT BECAUSE I DID NOT HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT EVERYTHING BEING OK IN MY HOUSE WHILE I WAS OUT OF THE COUNTRY, BECAUSE I KNEW THAT THEY WOULD BE THERE TO HELP IF ANYTHING WENT WRONG.
