piano tuning
 + -1 moreWas very professional and personable. Took special care to explain and adjust every aspect of the Piano prior to tuning. Vast education of keyboard Instruments and music in general. Explained the importance of a well regulated humidity level of 45%. I played the piano for 2 hours after he left. What a difference with the adjustments he made. Very happy with results.
Description of Work: Adjusted the Hammer release position, filed off the wear on the felt hammer, Regulated Capstan to eliminate lost motion, Regulated the worst let-off regulations, Raised pitch (Was a 1/4 off). Fine Tuned. Suggested re-tuning in six months.

 + -1 moreI called him, left message. He responded within a day. Arrived quickly at mutually convenient time. He arrived on time and was very presentable, polite, and obviously knew what he was doing, including played the piano beautifully as he went along and at the end when it was fully tuned. Very satisfied. He is coming again in November 2015 just before Thanksgiving for a regular tune up. (I live "on the water", CT coast, near Rhode Island. ) I am sure I filled this out before right after original request for same. Do not know why you need another one. id it not got through to you.? Description of Work: Tuned a very out of tune Wurlitzer which had not been tuned in about five years. Old old piano. Had to be careful not to break wires.

 + -1 moreRoyden has taken care of my piano tuning for over twenty years and I have never been anything by totally satisfied. And when the piano, due to years of neglect prior to Royden's attentions, required some extensive rebuilding of the action, he directed us to an excellent and very reasonably priced restorer. He is friendly, charming, and very knowledgeable about both pianos and music in general.
