Norwich Discount Oil

Called Feb 3rd for oil delivery. Was told they were busy and couldn't deliver till Friday. I was okay with that and gave them my credit card number, which they promptly charged $450. Friday came and they never arrived. Saturday I ran out of oil. I called them again and was told that I'll be charged an extra $65 for Saturday delivery. I informed the answering service that they failed to deliver when they were scheduled to, and should not be charged. She said someone would call shortly. 2 hours later, after no response, I called again. I was (again) told someone would be in touch with me right away. They never called. I made it through the weekend on diesel fuel, and called another company Monday morning, who promptly filled my tank the next day. Late that same day, an NDO truck pulled up to my house to deliver fuel, 8 days after I had called them. 
This whole scenario could have been avoided with a simple call from NDO stating they were having issues with delivery. Instead I get stone-walled with silence for 8 days, even after I reached out to them. Their absolute disregard for customer service is astounding. I submitted a charge dispute to my credit card company to have the charge removed. It's sad that they demand a prepayment from your credit card to insure your trustworthiness, when apparently they themselves feel their trustworthiness is above reproach. Needless to say, I will never do business with them again.

Half the time we had to call them to tell them we were low on oil so "automatic" did not seem to qualify. Then on Feb.3, 2014 we noticed our tank was on empty again (below O temps outside) We called them and got the emergency line only. We told them we thought we were out of oil and she said their trucks were not running that day. It was a Friday and we had a snow storm the day before, but other oil co. trucks had driven by the house. We called again later and the woman said they might deliver Saturday. Saturday came and went and not a word from Norwich discount oil.We went the whole sub zero temp weekend wondering if we would run out of oil. Monday morning came and we found another company that would give us oil. Within an hour they were here. I called Norwich Discount Oil to cancel our service and the woman acted disinterested and said OK...did not even ask why. I am now glad to be with a professional oil company.

They are fine. They have the best price around. The price was $694 for 203.5 gallons. It heats our whole house and we have the baseboard heating.
