1. MESSY---they covered nothing! Shrubs around the property and attic interior covered with chards of asphalt. 2. Used subcontractor when they told me they did their own work 3. Did not stand by their warranty. Left holes along the fascia board when they put the gutters back on...never came back to fix because we had paid them in full so no incentive. The upstairs of our house was freezing last winter 4. The job was costly, $13,000...Rick/owner treated the job like it wasinsignificant. 6. All together a regretable experience.

From initial inquiry to finish, total professionalism. RMR responding right away for an estimate, their expertise was immediately recognized, providing a variety of solutions to fix our old roof problems. They helped me evaluate each alternative, and recommended what I intuitively thought was the best solution. Their approach was an... "if this was my roof..." kind of methodology. The job was scheduled around my convenience, and attention to detail was paid throughout... right down to careful watch on weather. Since all of my roof was coming off, I was assured that they wouldn't open up any more than they could button up tight should bad weather interrupt. The crews worked quickly and efficiently, minimizing the mess and impact on landscaping that such a large roofing job would inevitably create. They even provide affordable financing alternatives. As the job progressed, any concerns or issues I had were addressed to my satisfaction, and even my wife can attest... that's not an easy thing to do. The new main roof matched perfectly to the recently repaired (thanks to Sandy) other lesser roofs on the house. The copper flashing around the chimney is akin to a work of art, the sags in my roofline are gone, as was he mess and debris from the job. Perhaps not like most people... I actually go up on my roof to clean gutters etc. so I get a first hand up close look at the work they did, and I am pleased. The only thing I wish I had done differently was to have prepared my attic space from some of the unavoidable mess that occurs with a complete reroofing. I spent a few hours vacuuming off storage boxes etc when I could have spent a few minutes before hand covering them.

Rick's Main Roofing did a phenomenal job on our new roof - it is a high-end GAF architectural roof, with copper flashing and brand new 5" gutters. The roof is the first thing you see on our house since the pitch is quite extreme. It is gorgeous. We get compliments on it all the time - and of particular note is the copper work they did on the chimney and valleys - the Craftsmanship is stunning. I've never seen a team work harder to earn my trust and confidence. Working with Bill Eleck as the project manager was the key to our successful project. He answered all of our questions every step of the way and insured we were happy with the final result. I always hire local craftsman and will continue to do so. Norwalk has many talented, hard-working people - lucky us. Well done.

Bill Erlich at Ricks Main Roofing was our initial contact. He was VERY easy to deal with, explained the problems with our current roof, and outlined the resolutions. Bill was very professional, did beautiful copper flashing work around the chimney and corrected the transition between the old house addition, and the new addition where we had some leaks. He managed his crew well, they arrived on time, and put in extra effort when rain was forecast to get the new roof completed. All in all a good experience. Recommend Ricks Main Roofing anyday!!! New roof looks great, AND IT DOES NOT LEAK!!

We had damage from a fallen tree on our 50 year old house. We bought the home one year ago and knew at that time that the roof was likely original, had 2 layers of shingles but had never been replaced. Our insurance company only wanted to replace the front facing side of the roof where the damage had occurred but we knew it was problematic to replace half the roof and leave the other half as-is. We called Ricks for a quote, explained the situation to our contractor, Jack (who BTW came to our house at 7am so we could still get to work on time), and he gave us a quote that covered the whole roof (including the rafter repair) that was very reasonable. Once we signed the contract with them, they were at our house within days and all the work was completed within two days (day two was just chimney flashing and removal of the dumpster). Note: we ultimately paid some additional out of pocket costs not included in the estimate that were unrelated to the tree damage but given the age of the roof, we expected that. Even while they continued with the contracted repairs, they explained the reason for the additional work and gave us the opportunity to make decisions about what should be done without a lot of pressure. A word of advice, budget a bit more for big repairs like this - there are likely to be problems not found until the work gets started; in our case all additional costs were, without question, necessary and we were fortunate that we were working with an honest company.

They showed up very quickly, even came on a sunday, performed this installation quickly and carefully. Works beautifully.

Other than a slight delay on the start date, everything went perfectly. Rick is a gentleman, and we felt he was honest, fair, and his guys did excellent work. He's a model of how contractors should be..

They did a fine job. The man came up and was trying to do a low cost repair job. That worked but then it turned out that the problem was a little bigger, and we had to go with a couple of more stages and take off the old shingles and replace some of the rotted plywood. That got a little pricey, but I don't ever grade competitiveness for roofing. Overall, they did a pretty good job. The quality of work mostly was good but they left it uneven, and I had to have them come back so that there was a smooth line across after they repaired. I was not happy with the way the left it first time. They were pretty responsive. They got here pretty quickly and promptly. They came when they said they would. I will use them again in the future if needed.

We had developed a bad leak in one area, and our original roofing contractor had gone out of business so we could not claim under their and ldquo;warranty.and rdquo; The shingle manufacturer referred us to Rick, he responded with total professionalism. (RMR is an authorized installer for our choice of roofing, which our first contractor was not. Buyers should be alert to this issue. Also check when any contractor says and ldquo;Licensed in Xyz County,and rdquo; but does not publish a license number.) We had a little trouble scheduling our appointment because of all the heavy rain in those weeks, and also because our own schedule was complicated, so I don't fault Rick for that. Once we got going, there were absolutely no issues. Each time another problem appeared as work progressed, opening the affected area, his crew would have a solution and would go right to work to repair the damage we discovered. They were knowledgeable and efficient. We have not experienced any further problem, but if we do need roofing services I would definitely call Rick first.

Rick came out himself, and his employee put a vent tube 'near' the cap, but didn't reconnect it. Rick refused to complete the job, he told me that he had bigger jobs.

THE WHOLE PROCESS FROM DOING THE BID UNTIL THE END OF THE JOB WAS VERY PROFESSIONAL. THEY DID A VERY GOOD CLEAN UP JOB AFTERWARD. WE HAD AN ISSUE WITH A LEAK A COUPLE OF MONTHS AFTER THE JOB, AND THEY CAME BACK AND FIXED IT. OTHER THAN THE ISSUE WITH THE SLIGHT LEAK, WE HAVEN'T HAD ANY PROBLEMS WITH IT. THE ROOF WAS PROFESSIONALLY DONE.

IT WAS VERY GOOD. THEY SHOWED UP WHEN THEY SAID THEY WOULD. IT WAS A VERY PROFESSIONAL JOB. JUST ONE GUY CAME OUT AND HE WAS PROFESSIONAL. HE DID A PROPER JOB. I DO NOT KNOW IF IT WAS A REASONABLE PRICE FOR A REPAIR BECAUSE I HAVE NEVER HAD A REPAIR DONE BEFORE. I HAVE USED HIM FOR YEARS. HE REPLACED MY ROOF ABOUT 6 OR 8 YEARS AGO.
