MJS Excavation

My experience with MJS Excavation was extremely positive from receiving the quote at the start of the project all the way through to completion of the project. I had Jason build a large retaining wall on my property and he took my vision and enhanced it even more than I could have imagined - the finished wall exceeded my expectations. Before the start of the project I was having some difficulty visualizing certain aspects of the wall and Jason came over not once, but twice, to discuss with me to ensure we were on the same page and that I understood what his plans were. Then once the project started, Jason was hard working and open with communication if anything came up. He came up with ideas on how to enhance the project and priced them out so I could make an educated decision. Jason is so nice and friendly and his work speaks for itself through his craftsmanship and skill. In fact, some of my neighbors were so impressed that he ended up doing work for some of them after he completed my project! When he finished everything up, he cleaned the space and resodded the lawn that was affected. The final price ended up almost exactly on target with the estimate quote he provided at the beginning – something that I have not had a positive experience with other contractors in the past. I really cannot recommend Jason enough – he is hardworking, honest, skilled, and a pleasure to work with. If you are considering him for a project – go for it, you will not be disappointed!

We needed about an acre of woods cleared next to our house. I have worked with many contractors in the past, so I was immediately impressed when I got a call from MJS Excavation the same day I contacted them through Home Advisor. By the next morning, Jay came to our house to put together a quote. I really liked that he looked over the area to find a way in that would minimize damage to the existing yard. The price quoted was fair. He started work almost immediately and had the job done within 3 days. He spoke to us daily and was responsive to every request we made and completed the job to our satisfaction. We now have a beautiful lawn where dead trees and tangled brush once was. We could not be happier with MJS and would hire them again without hesitation.

They are dependable and reliable. When I asked them for references, I got them. They did a spring cleanup, removed a tree and tore down an old structure on my property. They did an excellent job. I have hired them for future jobs. After removal of structure they bulldozed a weeded area.

They were very quick to return a call and plow my driveway. It was the best job anyone has done ever!! I would highly recommend this company, the owners are so nice and do an amazing job!

Michelle and Jay did a excellent job clearing our back yard and filling in with material to make a nice level yard. Will have them back for additional work when needed.

They worked till midnight to level the ground, including the sand. They came back they next day to put up the pool. the overall job was professional and excellent. The whole crew was very likeable, I invited them back for a swim and barbeque. 5.0 being the best I give them a 10.0 and would recommend them for any job.

Michelle and Jay have been excellent to work with. We needed to fill in our pool and re-grade the yard and they have done an incredible job. They worked very hard and were very eager to make sure we were satisfied with the end result. Jay is very talented and used the heavy machinery like a surgeon. We would recommend them to anyone.
